Both ships are virtually the same concept. Ones just a lot bigger.

My love of Transformers just barely exceeds my love of Star Wars. It would be hard for me to determine which line I have more figures from. That said, I don't have a single Star Destroyer toy. There are a bunch of vehicles in the Star Wars universe more interesting than the Star Destroyer. On screen, it has a purpose. But in plastic form, it's boring compared to other vehicles. So I think the problem with your premise is that you are automatically assuming that just because people like Star Wars they must also love the Star Destroyer design. This is a false assumption.

    Nope.

I'm not going to bother elaborating, because you'll never let this go.

So basically your one of those acting/directing/scriptwriting guys who cant enjoy a good action flick ? Got it !

And wouldnt Wheelie be the Jar Jar Binks of Transformers ? Im not sure what brings Rodimus to mind when you think of a comedic type character.

Cyclonus looks the best out of the four new '86 Movie figures.

I'm trying to grasp why a thread discussing Scourge has devolved into a Star Wars debate.

Anyway, Scourge and Cyclonus are easily my most anticipated upcoming figures, possibly only overshadowed by the impending Galvatron.

Scourge's alt mode looks really good in the screen grabs. It is exactly what it should be, which says a lot for the designers to not make another boxy-winged one like the CW version.

A star destroyer does not look like a bar of soap. It's an arrowhead.

I’m not understanding this comparison. Scourge’s boat alt mode looks nothing like the more visually interesting Star Destroyer.

I don't know why I was expecting this to be a deluxe instead of a voyager; perhaps because the last ones were. The underside of the soap mode has me a little apprehensive, that's a lot of robot leg showing, much more than just the thighs of the G1 version; it's a nice sculpt overall but alt modes matter to me enough to leave me thinking I'll pass.

Right. Scourge is supposed to be a hovercraft, what many people might call a "boat", not a spaceship, so it looks awkward as a spaceship.

The Star Destroyer is supposed to be the grandest thing in the universe, a slice of pizza.

Actually the only good star wars movie in the last 8 attempts was Rogue one. When you repeat the same thing over & over, as was proven, just calling it star wars does not a good movie make it.

Rodimus being a Leader is the comedy you are looking for.

If I could get a bar of soap shaped like a star destroyer, you bet your ass I would

An arrow head with two big balls on its roof ? Its a hovercraft style vehicle with no wings, tailfins, or rudders quite similar to Scourge's alt mode. And a bar of soap has angles and lines when if first comes out the box. So I guess if Scourge resembles a used bar of soap, the Star Destroyer resembles that same bar of soap fresh out the box.

Scourge is basically a much smaller rounded version of a Star Destroyer. Its not rocket science, cmon now.

I know what you’re getting at, so thanks for being condescending. I’m simply saying that it’s a weird comparison that makes no sense. There are zero similarities here.

Oh yeah, like how a football is just a bigger, rounder, version of a hockey puck?

    Nope.

And I love the new toy. Yay!

The 86 movie characters are being split between WFC (Siege Springer, Earthrise Arcee, Siege/Kingdom Ultra Magnus, Earthrise Quintesson Judge, Earthrise Alicon, Earthrise Quintesson Bailiff, Kingdom Rodimus Prime, Kingdom Galvatron, Kingdom Cyclonus, Dead Prime, Haslab Unicron) and Studio Series (Scourge, Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Gnaw, Grimlock w/Wheelie, Slag w/Daniel, Jazz)
