Honestly, I think it looks so much better than the TR version and it doesn't have a bobble head (I like headmasters, but Scourge's was very loose)

Based on this thread, reddit posts, and comments on PrimevsPrime video, I'd say most people find the studio series 86 version much better than the TR one.

Cmon now bruh....name me one Transformers fan who doesnt like star wars ? You trying to throw shade on my comment because I brought up obvious similarities between Scourge's alt mode and one of the most beloved spaceships in sci-fi history. If Scourge transforms into a bar of soap, I suggest you dont drop the soap...

Sure, but the Star Destroyer is a made up ship in a franchise surrounded by 100% made up people, places, and things. It doesn't have any reason to make sense.

Scourge is literally hanging around with Starscream and pals on Earth and they all turn into actual vehicles that might appear on our real life actual planet while he turns into a "space boat".

That being said, no one really has any issues with him being said "space boat", I think we all like him just the way he is, but that doesn't change the fact that his alt mode is literally designed to be a boat shaped vehicle traveling through space.

Well I have to order 3 at least for season 3 .... maybe 5 of doing 3 in robot and 2 in vehicle mode. But I also have to get 1 for Season 4/Headmaster's shelf.... 32$ a pop... thats over 190$ maybe... oh my wallet is screaming but I like it.

PS. I also love that Protoman went all in dry on PrimevsPrime and TonTon. get em hasbro.

To be fair, Scourge's alt mode was created by Unicron, an alien planet with horns. Scourge never hung around with Starscream, however he did witness his execution and was later on possessed by his ghost. To my knowledge, Scourge never even appeared on Earth in season 3 outside of a short scene in the 86 movie. So his alt mode's justification has all the same merits you gave to the Star Destroyer. While a hovercraft might be a better description of his alt mode than a space boat, a "bar of soap" is definitely a negative perception in my opinion.

To also be fair, the fiction won't matter when figures of Starscream and Scourge will be on store shelves right next to each other in a few months. But Scourge did in the cartoon still appear next to Constructicons, Combaticons, and Stunticons who all turn into normal real world cars/trucks/tanks/etc. He just has a very different design and one that's easy to make light fun of (but still just fun, no one's hatin' here, no more than Rodimus gets teased for being a space winnebago or anyone else).

I love Protoman but I also love Ton Ton. You gotta understand youtube is a business. Its all about clicks, advertising, sponsers, etc. Being the first guy to review the figure is a big thing business wise. To be fair, we dont know how much Ton Ton pays for his copies or if he is even a serious Transformers collector. He reviews toys from other franchises. Maybe he sells them off after the review. If some moron who cant wait 2 months wants to pay $200, more power to Ton Ton to recoup his money. If you could get rich selling ice cubes to Eskimos, why wouldnt you ? Not to sound like a narcissist, but some toy reviewers are just in the hobby for the money. They might be a fan, but not a collector. Kind of like scalpers.

There should be more boat transformers, and in space it doesn't much matter what shape a vehicle is anyway.

I still fail to understand why you keep bringing up starscream. So you will have a spacehip, a fighter jet, and a monkey sitting next to each other on the shelf at walmart. Whats your point ? Next to the monkey is a turtle with nunchucks. Next to the turtle with nunchucks is a naked man wearing a harness. Next to the naked man wearing a harness is a talking dog that solves mysteries. What is your point about being on a shelf next to Starscream ?

No hypocrisy at all. The Star Destroyer looks cool. Scourge's alt...doesn't.

I expect the price tag to match the quality. There is no reason as to why they couldn't have included the limbs as part of the transformation while still having his cape become the back of the vehicle. Again, I keep forgetting that this fandom has next to no standards, even with the price markups of figures over the years.

I do not like Star Wars anymore. The endless story telling of 1 story & the horrible acting in the first 3 & last 3 of the 9 part story drove 10's of millions away from the franchise completely. It persists only because new fans have none of the nostalgia & thus embrace the first experience as their right of passage. To put it more simply - "Video Killed The Radio Star."
