It's an Avengers game. You play as The Avengers in the campaign, switching around as different characters as they worldbuild and take you through the tutorial. It's about 12 missions total and you play it only once (and you can never replay it again). After that, you go to the Avengers Initiative, where you play as who you want, level them up, gear them up, and explore the world in teams. I've currently got 49 missions I can play either solo with my Avengers as AI companions or online with other players, or a mix of the two. I get wanting to play as the Avenger of your choice, I really hardcore do, as according to the Xbox I've got almost 4 days of play time logged in the game and I'm willing to bet that outside of the Campaign, I've spent 98% of that time as Thor. There's a ton of very good reasons not to want to play the game, but because the campaign/tutorial has you play as certain Avengers to tell it's story and get you ready to go out on your own with proper context just seems like a pretty weak excuse. Plus every month for quite a while we're getting new content and a new Avenger. Also, I'm a dude in his 40's as well. This isn't the movies, this isn't the comics, it's a version all on it's own and I think it does some things pretty well. But hey, to each their own. More on topic, ESB Vader arrived from Amazon, but it looks like it's a no-show on everything else; Kang, Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker, and Runamuck all say they'll arrive tonight by 8 PM, but since they haven't shipped, I doubt it. Having had a chance to enjoy War Machine and AOA Apocalypse, I'm really impressed by War Machine. Apocalypse was a super pain in the butt to head swap and I had to do some hair dryer action to unbend his left wrist gauntlet, and the cape just doesn't like to stay on (I'm probably going to 86 it anyway).
Honestly, I was expecting it, but there have been sightings of the wave being found at retail already so it wasn't out of the question that Amazon had started getting their case early.
Pulse seems to be having issues filling their own preorders on time lately. From what some people are saying they're deliberately not giving themselves first dibs on inventory and making sure guys like EE and BBTS get inventory first supposedly.
Can't confirm for sure. Just stuff I've read online. That said it sucks because for a good while Pulse was super reliable about being on time if you could get an preorder in.
Only makes sense. Supply chains still aren't back to normal and they need to make sure their bigger wholesale accounts stay viable.
