reveals don’t need to come out of a con or an event on Tuesdays or whatever. Hasbro can announce stuff whenever want and have. Bluestreak wasn’t a big event. He was just announced one day. They’ve done it plenty of times in the past and there’s still a lot of them before kingdom starts. Even if you’re waiting for an event to announce them NYCC livestream is coming up and hasbro does have a presence at Asian cons. That’s how a lot of studio series has been announced in the past.

This is why "toxic" is a stupid, nebulous buzzword that should be excised from discussion. Unless it's about acid, poison, or other substances where the word has literal meaning and not this passive-aggressive non-descriptor that more or less translates to "you said something I disagree with so it doesn't count."

And FWIW, I agree with Fenrys. When we have information that clearly discredits a certain possibility, why argue that? I get not knowing that when first asking, but after it's been proven that Thrust isn't an Amazon exclusive, just accept that information and move on. Also computer listings have so far been the most concrete evidence we have about upcoming releases. Fenrys never acted like a dick or anything, he just plainly pointed out that Thrust isn't an Amazon exclusive, so being a Prime Day reveal is impossible, as Prime Day only reveals Amazon exclusives.

To whoever brought up the idea that even though Thrust has a Target listing, "things could have changed because etc.": as has been discussed recently in other places re: the G.I. Joe Classified Series Target-exclusive Cobra Island subline, deals about exclusives with particular retailers seem preeeeetty firmly set once they're locked in. If something's a Target exclusive, it's probably going to stay that way.

 

That weathering and plastic....YUCK!!!! Did Hasblow learn ANYTHING from siege? Nobody likes that shitty cheap battle damage. It looks like somebody melted a Hershey’s cookies and cream bar all of the figure and called it a day.

 

From what I can understand, it was under the insistence of the licensors. It wasn’t Hasbro’s call.

 

Paramount screwed up then. The gray used doesn’t even match that of the TPS scheme of Maverick’s Tomcat from the movie. 1 of the initial pics Hasbro posted on IG actually had a cool grey instead of a warm gray seen on all shots since. And while Maverick’s Tomcat was pretty dirty, it didn’t have a consistent mud spatter pattern which looks like it was printed onto the toy. I was hoping that the cool grey plastic would be used by final production but I guess it won’t be now.

What a shame.

I used the word Toxic to mean a type of poison. The direct dismissal of everything I have to say because I apparently used a "trigger word" speaks volumes toward the prevalent mentality. Obviously I should have never, even in a postulating manner, gone against the popular mentality that Thrust is 100% a Target exclusive. I must be insane to think with as badly as Target handled other (Seekers) exclusives or that 50% of the Hasbro stream was people spamming "no more Target exclusives" that there might be renegotiation of future exclusives with Target. I can't help but notice I am being misquoted as stating I thought Thrust was going to be an Amazon exclusive, I mean that was one possibility I suggested, but the point I was trying to make is clearly lost.

I said a thing that people disagreed with, well not all people, but enough. I potentially inspired a line of thinking in another and as such a member felt the need to use an idiom, "grasping at thin air" which means to fail. I would argue that telling someone that is presenting a different point of view than you do that they fail could be construed as "being a dick".

The fact I used a "the T word" is apparently cause dismiss me as a cop out "safe space" mentality wrong person, and thus dismisses the point I was making entirely. fun.

There is a problem here, where people that started their account before someone else on these forums automatically means their opinions are worth more.

I only sought out a forum for a thing I like because of the Pandemic, it is pretty 50/50 (glad I did/wish I hadn't). Today is a 'wish I hadn't' kind of day. Stay classy.
