My only issue with this design-wise is the elbows. He (or she) is a beefy boi (or girl), but those elbows are scrawny.

Shape of the face looks pretty close to the G1 toy actually

That very masculine looking Not-Superion looks great. Very tempting. Hopefully the build is sturdy and solid, with everything tabbing into place securely.

It actually does. Just something with the nose, mouth, and eyes is weird. I hope the mouth is made more robotic. Just something off there.

Not a pantsformer. Silverbolts arms become the combiner legs

Huh. Now that's actually a pleasant surprise, I expected someone else jumping on the pants forming wagon. Upper torso had better be light as hell though or have bloody strong joints or it'll be a nightmare to stand straight. Still get Vietnam esque flashbacks of Warbotron Bruticus spilling over like he downed a bottle of vodka each time I tried to pose him straight.

NGL, wishing we see a cartoon-esque head that we can swap with that.

Imo G1 Superion's head is probably my least favourite head for him. Just something about the mask being a very similar color to his helmet and mostly the rounded top head.

I agree, it doesn't look like a fembot type face, just a youthful sorta anime robot face I guess.
In general, sharp features that are more cat-like can lead the mind towards perceiving a more female form but I don't see enough of that here honestly, but people see things differently so... people still think Apollyon looks good so, ye know. ;)
I'd be fine with this superion as is if it meets all my other criteria.

That middle one actually looks so similar to this bot's that I'd assume that's what the face is based on. The cheek line and lips are almost exact replications. The big differences being that this bot's face has a pointed nose and the chin guard extends well past the actual chin. I think both of those contribute to the face "appearing" longer when it actually isn't.

Personally I'd prefer a more robotic-looking mouth and shorter antenna-type-dealies. But I think the Superion face is more than close enough. Well, as long as it comes with a masked, or at least visored, version, as that's my preference. I'm more worried about the Aerialbots' faces and heads.

That IS a rather feminine face for Superion. But I really love the overall design and engineering of this set of figures. I can't wait to see more from this company.

I’m also someone that would love an alternate masked face, always preferred that look except ironically the really boring toon one

Alright, hear me out. These guys are actually Jinbao in a trenchcoat, revealing their first completely original design/mold.

    - A while back on Weibo they posted a single screenshot of the Aerialbots in alt mode.
    - 50 cm fits perfectly in scale with their OSKOs of MMC's Feral Rex, Warbotron's Bruticus, and Generation Toys' Gravity Builder.
    - It's stylized as hell like the figures they would KO
    - The post says they have been doing combiners for 4-5 years. Jinbao's OSKO of Feral Rex was late 2015/early 2016.

Ooh. Another contender. Seems we've ruled out tfc and other mp makers, which left gt, g creations. I heard someone say gt has been around more than 5 years, so I guess it's either gcreations shuraking designer or jinbao.

I don't know, seems a bit of a stretch. I mean it's possible I guess? It'd be hilarious if that was the case, won't lie. From cheap knock offs to high level designs would be interesting. My moneys still in Generation Toy or an offshoot of Cang though.
