Yeah, CNE also. I so need this fig right now. She will need companions though that will match her aesthetics.

I'm not sure what that means but my Optimus, Megatron, and Soundwave collections are all bigger.

I use Simplify3D and was able to separate the .stl provided by GAUGE into the individual parts (it splits it into a bunch of separate parts...at least 20). As you stated, I also noticed that some parts are non-manifold. Some of the other individual parts actually comprise the missing faces of those non-manifold parts...so you’ll have to play around with which parts to keep and how to arrange them in the slicing software to produce manifold parts. I printed a couple test parts on my FDM in PETG at 50 microns last night and got decent results...need to play with some other settings to get ideal results, though. I’ll post some pics when I can get back to it!

I got one man making me a Nicee head that has ball peg holes on it so I can mount the front Fenders on to it to make a set of Twin Tails.

That's right! Going full on anime with mine! and she will be adorable, and you will like it! :lol

Not sure if we are talking about same thing. I am talking about the original very early cgi renders.

I've had a few people message me for photos of my alternate head/accessories, so in the event that you were curious I've made a small album that'll offer some information since we can post links to those.

    Very awesome!

The one with ears is cute-ish and interesting. Was that just something for fun? (What If they were more cat-like and smaller? — I found those a little too big and jarring. Your talent is through the roof though!)

Definitely like this version the best. Only wish it came in pieces to make for easy painting of the eyes.

It's intended as a little "for fun" version for @GAUGE and it's still being worked on. Anyone else interested can also reach out to me if they want it, I just didn't think there would really be a market haha.

Yea, it would have been nice but with the interest of limiting seam lines, I made the entire head as one piece to avoid it. It just makes 3D printing, fit and finish way easier on all parties. Here's how the entire head breaks down:

    Instructions.jpg

The neck joint slides in from below and the "Ear" locks everything in place. Only one seam and it's mostly hidden, I think it's a worthwhile trade-off.

I don't have a 3D printer and I can't paint. Is there anyone around here who could do both of those for me for a fee?

Nicee finally arrived! Long story short: she's great, but not without faults.
(I messed with the bot and transformed her to vehicle mode, so these are very much initial impressions)

Let's start with the bad: Transformation kinda sucks! It's not hard by any means, but very finicky. Definitely one where everything needs to be lined up just-so in order for things to work. And it's not a figure you can really mush around to make everything line up either. Things just sorta slot into place and rest there. No strong, meaty connections.
I wish she had deeper ankle tilts. Especially forward/back. I would suggest maybe a toe joint, but that's impractical considering her already small footprint. Makes more dynamic poses a bit difficult without the aid of a figure stand.
Finally, paint scratches. I was expecting her to have some, so it's not a huge deal. I don't really notice unless I'm looking for them, but they are there and it is unfortunate. Luckily I can live with it.

Pros: Once you get everything together, car mode's nice. Can't even tell it turns into a robot! Until you look at the bottom and see the arms and legs all stored underneath (considering her humanoid shapes, the bottom of the car is almost borderline body horror lol).
Robot mode is gorgeous. It just looks so good! Even the backpack is well done and can hinge a bit to get out of the way for certain poses. But what really wowed me was how stable she was. I know she's freely standing in numerous pictures, but seeing it in person is still impressive. Her feet are small, so it's surprising that she can remain upright without issue.
Joints are nice and tight. Articulation feels natural. Good accessories, and I appreciate the different options for some of the armor bits.

Now onto the big point of discussion: the head. I was planning on designing something more Arcee-y, but... In person I actually quite like this version. There's still enough design cues in this head to suggest Arcee to me (the round ear bits mimic the Leia hair, she's got the central cranial ridge). Of course the biggest difference is definitely the hair, but I don't think it looks too bad. Ultimately, Nicee is a stylized take on Arcee, and the head matches in that regard. Granted, I still think it was a dick move to announce the Arcee head was ditched right before she was released, and I don't blame anyone for being upset about it. But as for me, I'll be keeping the standard head.

So yeah. Good figure. Happy to have her in the collection.

I’m curious, has anyone attempted to 3D print a more g1 esk chest that fits over? Always wished they had made that.
