That’s a really tough call. For past MP releases I would say this is normal and don’t bother exchanging. But this release seems to have very good paint apps overall so your copy definitely seems worse than average. The faces aren’t too bad from a normal viewing distance (I’m guessing?) but that green paint on the thigh is definitely an issue.

Try rubbing the green paint off with a damp cloth. If it's just mild paint transfer, it should come off relatively easily.

The weird paint on the faces is actually more noticeable in real life than in the pictures. The added paint reflects the light differently so it really stands out.

Yeah that was the first thing I tried but unfortunately I wasn't able to remove it. Don't really want to try anything more aggressive.

Being in Japan it's super easy to do an exchange so I think I'll just go for it. Thanks for your input guys :)

I'm noticing some scuff marks on the matte white as well. No doubt happening during transformation. Not a huge issue tho, all my transformers end up getting worn and torn at some point. I'm one of those filthy collectors that transforms the heck out of his figures, poses, them, transforms them back, poses, etc. I think I've gone through tigatron 12 or 13 times since I got him on monday hah

To equate a lack of know-how, finesse, and trust because someone is a westerner is only a few degrees away from actually being offensive.

I’m sure it was meant in jest or good-faith, so I’m not upset buddy. Just wanted to clarify how you probably are being looked at now by a fair amount of board members.

I agree. In essence, he just stands up, unlike Dinobot or Blackarachnia who origami from mode to mode. I think it is a really satisfying transformation and another excellent BWMP hitting at least par amongst the other entries if not a little better imho. I ended up liking him more than i thought i would. For a character I was "meh" about, his figure is awesome!

Tigatron poses much better than I thought! Thanks to the rather unhindered foot swivel and ankle tilt, you still can get both of his feet flat on the ground with quite a number of poses.

damn I still wish I collected Masterpiece. It's not even about the money, it's just that I realize I'm not that type of collector. I like playing with my shit. I enjoy being able to share and play with my kids. I can't do that with MP, but boy to appreciate the aesthetic and engineering of the products lately.

If you manage to have strong will and not slip down the rabbit hole , you can cherry pick some of the ideal MPs and only get about 3 figures that most emphasize your liking and be done with it.
But most fail to climp up

thanks guys, super helpful! man, i thought i was pretty thorough with observing this figure, that ab crunch joint is super hidden!

also, i mentioned in my previous post that his head can only turn about 45 degrees before the back of the head starts rubbing the white part behind it - has anyone found a way to get around this, in case i’m also missing something? this hindered some poses i was trying to get him in last night.

I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s supposed to be. In your photo the molded detail is flush (which is correct) and you’ll always have that tiny gray piece sticking out. If you push it in, the gray piece disappears, but the molded detail isn’t flush.
