It's up on the first page of the thread. I do try and not rush drawings, but I also get a bit frustrated with how long I can tend to take at times. Already starting on the next one.
I can be the same way with art. Sometimes it can be detrimental to rush it to get it over and finished with, but I also get that spending too much time on something might actually lessen the finished product as well. That said, I love Scorponok, the transformation, his finger-tips, the spindly legs, and the median eyes on the scorpion mode, which are essentially more accurate to how scorpion faces look compared to the show model. Literally the only nitpickiest thing I can think of for him is the absence of the little mullet curve on the back of his head that was present in the show model. Just because its a minor thing that always made me think of his helmet as something similar to a Roman centurion's helmet and the way theirs' would curve slightly at the back in the same way. I always thought it fit with Scorponok's character as a loyal soldier. But that is literally just me and I feel kind of bad even offering this kind of critique. He looks so good though, and I still really wish this design style was present in a modern tf show. It just expands on the niches of the Beast Wars design style in such a great way.
My biggest thing is that I spend too much time just sitting and staring at a piece, mapping out what I'm gonna do in my head, and then often kinda over thinking it and sort of psyching myself out. Nah, I appreciate it. I didn't think about that detail, but pointing it out, I totally knew what you were talking about, and it makes sense.
I think I may be hitting a bit of creative burnout...Trying to work on a Terrorsaur, but I'm just not really feeling it. Doesn't help that my scratched up old Wacom is not as easy to draw on as it use to be.
Hey, we still throughly enjoy your artwork. But if your not feelin' it, maybe take a break or somethin' to get the creative juices in your mind flowing again.
Your Scorponok, Rhinox and Terrorsaur seem fine to me. Take your time to get back into the swing of things.
It's just the Terrorsaur sketch, I'm not completely happy with how it was going. I ended up redrawing a lot of it over and over, especially couldn't get his legs or pose to look right to me.
No worries dude, if you need to step away for a while then you have every right to do so. Take all the time you need, we'll be here when you get back.
