Generations for being a fresh take on the character, Kingdom for having better articulation.

    Both unfortunately have dead eyes.

I definitely prefer Generations, just because he looks more beefy and has more personality imho. His only drawbacks are that stupid shoulder missile that sticks out the back so far, and there's more grey in his robot mode than I'd like. But I love the toon accuracy of WFC, aside from those awkwardly huge feet. Honestly, if I saw both on shelves and had to choose between only having one of them, I'd have a really hard time deciding which to get.

I already have Generations that I spent money on so I could have a good WarPath on my shelf.
I’m not spending $35 cdn to replace it when I’m already quite happy with it.

I will be honest, i'll probs get the Kingdom one because I'm a cartoon purist to my own detriment. The Generations Warpath looks vastly superior though. Its like the Generations one is the adult version of the Kingdom figure. Like the jump from Hot Rod to Rodimus.

I quite like the Generations figure EXCEPT for the fact that’s an H tank. It’s not a bad alt mode per se but I too have a thing with H tanks being earth alt modes not to mention not really digging them in general.

Other than that though the Generations figure IS quite good IMHO.

Generations Warpath is indeed a good figure. Hell I got two of them myself. But in the end I will always prefer G1 accuracy and purism over modern interpretations. Plus a conventional tank > H-tank.

Hard to say which is the better figure with Kingdom not being out yet, but I prefer the look of the Generations version

Kingdom Warpath looks pretty good, but my personal favorite is still the Generations Deluxe figure.

Generations by a 3000 mile shot

I love the old era of Generations where they were updating G1 designs (Scourge, Kup, Perceptor) instead of rehashing bad cartoon designs, and Generations Warpath was a standout. Tho the H-tank was pretty meh

Plus I hate the new Minibot scale they seem to be forcing now. I'm a stickler for scale so seeing Warpath, Huffer, Pipes, etc be almost the same size as Cliffjumper I don't really like in the slightest.

I like the tank mode on the Kingdom one but the robot mode for the old Generations mold looks drastically better. I’ll get Kingdom Warpath when it’s released but I’m definitely not selling my Gen one.

I voted the earlier mold because there are times that "more accurate to the 80's cartoon" or "looks more like the 1st toy" is NOT > reinterpretation... and Kingdom Warpath is one of those.

He's a red tank, robot mode has cannon in chest, eyes but no (or just covered?) mouth, treads for feet... that's a lot of what is recognizable as being a Warpath figure. This new on has all that, but looks a little doofy in bot mode, which is G1 accurate. I don't like the stereotype that big/tough/strong always = dumb. It's one of the reasons I love Strika. Speaking of...

If you don't care for it as Warpath, I think you'll hate it as Strika... I do. I don't understand how "big bad@$$ babe" makes it somehow acceptable to some people to do the equivalent of putting a new head and a bunch of red on T30 Roadbuster and calling that Warpath. People... would... riot.

But as Treadshot it is AWESOME. The mold's more aggresive face does wonders. If you're really pursuing the mold with intent to avoid repeat characters, I've seen someone on the BST's selling the botcon Blastcharge for like $30. Same sin as I mentioned with Strika, but without other media to solidify such aspects of the character, its a WAY better bot than the beast machines deluxe.

I think the generations toy is vastly superior, most G1 designs look stupid so making it accurate is not a great idea. Also the newer one is a parts former which is.. yikes.

They should go back to modern designs ASAP.

Except that people like me who want strict G1 accuracy should get the toys we want too, yeah? ;)

I have always preferred the "updated aesthetics" version of Generations over the "G1 redo" version, and Warpath is no exception. He looks so much better in his Generations form.

Truly strict G1 accuracy can only be found in the original toys... elbows and separate legs are a pretty drastic redesign from the original Warpath.

yeah, While I love Generations robot mode, I always feel like H-Tanks lend themselves to the vehicular equivalent of beast modes where "back beast legs = robot legs, front beast legs = robot mode arms" in the "lazy engineering concept olympics" ~ not to say you can't have very cool figures from either concept, it's just not very creative from an engineering standpoint.
