Was it ever explained how we could have gotten the RVTS Legion Megatron with a scaled down Walther P38 mode back then? I mean I am pretty sure this was after the era when even imported MP Megatrons had orange plugs added to them in the USA, and many have said Nerfatron (Classics Voyager Megs) would be the last gun mode Megs to be released.

I would not rule out an undocumented third gun mode... same as how Sixshot had his "submarine" mode and WFC Siege Shockwave had his "spaceship" mode.

Simply put he doesn't have as much range as Welker does... or even David Kaye, who played an awesome Optimus despite being known for Megatron's voice.
Cullen was good in G1 but afterwards I think he has not played the character for so long, he forgot how, and just overdid it. Movie and especially Prime Prime (Prime Squared as I called him) were literally BORING.
I always forget who plays him now in Cyberverse, but I think even he did a better job.

How could you resist NOT opening a toy? I always unpack them right after I get a package... I'll stay up late if needed but that first transformation is just a rush I need. :)

But wasn't he in like, all the Earthrise Waves, since there are only 3 Leaders in Earthrise?

Maybe he turns into a rat flail for Primal. :)

Was including them in the lightning collection announcement. Monsters are the most exciting thing they’ve announced imo and I’ll definitely be buying them, but it still feels like just more lightning collection.

Im just saying the power rangers announcements are pretty middling in comparison to TF Kingdom. Hasbro has had power rangers for two years, I really feel like they could’ve done something really interesting with it by now.

Here’s hoping Warden moving over there changes things up. In my dream world, I’d love to see voyager sized articulated transforming megazords with smaller price point for auxiliary zords and a larger price point for carriers. Especially if they were to have a cross compatibility built in and tons of 5mm ports to expand playability. But that’s not all that likely it seems.

Also received my shipping notice (i.e. label printed) for the Pit set. Guess we'll see when FedEx actually picks up the package.

For the folks getting their items, what area do you live in. Curious to see if they're shipping it out by region first. I'm in the nw.

Someone asked what under the earth & beneath the sea could mean, regarding zords. Lost track of the post.

The Tyrannosaurus Dinozord & Mastadon Dinozord, both, rose from beneath the earth. Technically, the Terradactl Dinozord could be said to come from beneath the earth, too, since it flies out of a volcano. And the Dragonzord sleeps beneath Angel Grove's bay.

I agree to a degree. Welker is a fantastic voice actor and definitely more range and experience than Cullen. And David Kaye was also really good as Optimus. But I think a big part of the issue is that in 07, Peter came back to Optimus and was told to make the voice bigger and deeper to accommodate the larger robots. And that's the voice he's stuck with ever since because that's the way Optimus has been written. Stoic and somewhat lifeless. I personally think Peter did a really good job in Age of Extinction. Optimus was written with more character and Peter definitely gives a more emotional performance than in any of the previous movies or the Prime show

Peter says he wants to do a solo Optimus movie before he quits the role for good, and I hope they give it to him. But write the character as fun and cowboy-esque like OG Optimus instead of stoic good guy with zero emotion. Peter shows that he definitely still has the chops to do the 80s lively Optimus voice in his Pulsecon interview

Peter Cullen's never going to forget his G1 Optimus Prime voice, given he based it on his brother. He's also very attached to the role.

The reality is, anytime he's Optimus & the voice is off, the voice director made him do it that way. In most productions, the voice actor doesn't have much say in how they do the voices. They come up with a voice for the audition, then are directed on how to give the lines in that voice for the show. Some shows the VA might have input, but I'm fairly sure those are few & far between, these days.

The sad truth. Wish VA's were given more freedom on how to do their voices.

Like I said before I don't exactly hate Core-Prime - I can see it preventing there being a decent amount of updates of Beast Wars Basics though. I just see him as perhaps something that could have been in it's own line like we used to have Legion class. so sort of like the old Movie Cyberverse Commander class stuff - that would have been a better fit - my reasoning being if it was it's own line we'd get 4-8 modern updates of "core characters" (not core as in size - core as in "The usual suspects") & if we get them as Kingdom Core then really what I'd rather they do is limit it to no more than a very few Mini-mes (one per wave) and instead save that for after WFCT is finished in 2022

Yeah I will admit I momentarily forgot about sunstreaker, as so many of the other items no out yet are in a brown box or are Amazon exclusves - I kinda forgot that retail products were "a thing" so just imagine I said wave 3 and up instead.

It's funny knowing what I know now about the "true" Character of Skywarp and Thundercracker - turning Thundercracker into Scourge seems like a really odd choice - when Cyclonus would fit him better, and either Bombshell or Skywarp being Cyclonus is bordering on the bizarre.

Given their competencies changed, not just their personalities, I'm pretty sure Unicron reformatted their entire beings, not just their bodies.

Same here. My favourite part was that after literally decades (I think the first novel came out in 1988) Drizzt do'urden finally got an action figure. I hope it is the first of many D&D figures. An interview on Hasbropulse with RA Salvatore shows he sure would like more characters to get toys!
    Q&A with D&D Legend, R. A. Salvatore – Hasbro Pulse

In essence, it really does not matter in the long run since the canon is, all of them were dead and their sparks/life force gone by the time they got reformatted. In neither the toon nor the comics did either Cyclonus or Scourge (and come to think of it, the Marvel comics never even had Sweeps) ever show they remember their previous lives, nor did their personalities carry over.
Then again, thanks to terrible Season 3 animation, we also had the Insecticons and Skywarp/TC show up alive and well after they got turned into them, so... :p  I mean Shrapnel died in the movie and got turned into a Sweep, then he still shows up on Junkion later in the same movie. I always assumed given how in season 2 the Insecticons always cloned themselves it was only some clones of them who died in the attack on Autobot City, but who knows.

Yeah. I think that was the case. Even with Galvatron. I haven’t watched the third season for a long time but is Galvatron ever even associated with Megatron? Do the deceptions even know how he, Cyclonus and the sweeps were created? I felt like Galvatron was always treated as an entirely new character. I seem to even remember Optimus Prime telling him that “he knows him all too well” during the hate plague and thinking “wait, no you don’t.”

Five Faces of Darkness part 1 confirms the Decepticons know that Galvatron is Megatron, but nothing is ever mentioned about Scourge and Cyclonus. But for all intents and purposes they weren't the same guys anyway. Unicron tells Megatron "I will give you a new body, and NEW troops to command". Scourge and Cyclonus were either made from dead Decepticons or they are like Jetstorm, Thrust and Tankor from Beast Machines where they are so different from who they were that they are a distinct individual on their own

No, it was common knowledge that Galvatron was Megatron. Someone even said as much in "Five Faces of Death"!

And I agree that Megatron was the only Decepticon still alive in the scene when Unicron performed the reformatting. The others either died before being tossed from Astrotrain or died while floating in space.
