I still can't believe they made an entire redeco of him based on the most traumatizing scene from the movie

It fills me with a sick pleasure that now you can basically own a collection revolving around Optimus being dead.

There\'s a huge demand. Super7\'s Reaction line consists of hundreds of figures and the TF subline is one of the most popular lines. This also will appeal to retro style MOC collectors of that particular type of 3.75\" figures. I like them much better than the RED line given there\'s nothing special about the packaging. Reaction\'s card art is half the reason to buy them if you\'re into the reto stuff. I have all of those hundreds of figures, and I can\'t wait to get them. It just sucks that they are Target exclusives since it\'s somewhat tough to get certain items there. 

 

Hah! Can you imagine your mom back in '86 picking you up this bad boy at the local toy store in town after taking you to the movie?

KID: "But mum, I WANT dead Optimus!"  

MOM: "Ummm.. I'm not SURE about this one, sweetheart ..."  

 

They gave Corpse Optimus black/dark gray eyes. Why not give G-1 toy-deco Megatron yellow eyes?

 

Saw a bunch of shiny megs in Target today,

but after seeing an $18 price point, I figured I’d hold off for some sort of toy sale. Cool lineup of figures though.

went up the street to a GameStop and saw they had a regular colored megs, mirage and astrotrain, and for the same price (they usually bump things up a few bucks).

Saw the back was different, and knew I’d have to check tfw to get more info.

In any case, converted a $15 coupon to get the astrotrain, since I recently picked up a couple of the MS/MFT ones and am still waiting to find a seige leader class at Ross Dress for Less for $18 to repaint.

Didn’t know about the ‘sleep mode’ /dead optimus version until a few minutes ago; but when you think about it, if there’s any justification for a limited articulation, non-transforming optimus prime, it should be for the dead one.

 

BBTS got the XXL Devastator by super 7 in. Two in my pile of loot.

 

It’s nice. Got mine from Super7 a few weeks ago. Wish it was a bit taller but I like it. Hope we get more “combiners”.

 

So did anyone catch the DPCI for the Target releases?

 

found Dead Optimus at Target today but someone bought all the Megatrons so I'm still on the hunt for that one...

Spotted these two this morning, chromed out Megatron and dead Optimus. I’m afraid I don’t have any out of package pictures because these were an insane $18 each?!



Megatron does look pretty good though, if these end up hitting 50% off I’d bite.

 

Interesting find. I haven't heard of the reaction figures before.

 

Those should be 10$ max.
