Got mine in from Amazon.jp but he's got a manufacturing defect. One of the joints in his left leg does not have the correct mirrored part, so I cant transform the leg into robot mode. Super bummed.
This is such a beautiful figure. Can't wait! If they let you keep it and send another one out, you could just have a big cat lying around
I have mine sitting in the amazon box on my desk. Im' going to take my lunch in a few minutes and open this bad boy up. I am so excited.
I've never had to deal with the return policy for Amazon.jp. Is that something they do or will I have to figure out how to ship this back?

He has so many panels and tabs. He's not a tiger, he's a *tabby* cat. I really love the way the back legs transform because it's so unnecessarily complex. Whoever designed that shin guard transformation is a dick. It's just begging to snap off. Loving the figure. Most of the transformation is straight forward. Kinda wish the Megatron head had more segments that rotated, but it's a nice little accessory. I cannot wait to get the whole cast.
Alright, finally managed to open him up. I'm pretty busy today, so I can't quite transform him yet, but I took him out of the box. From inside the box, he was not quite transformed properly. Mostly panels were not lined up nicely, so i took some time to work out how to get the panels in place, how to clip things together, etc. There are a LOT of clips and tabs, and even better, pegs with holes to keep things in place. Now that i have him together, all the panels sit together quite nicely. There are a LOT of panels though. Very interesting compared to cheetor who basically only had the two on his back. Tigatron is basically a collection of panels. But it makes a really cohesive product, at least in beast mode. Looking forwards to see where all these panels go in robot mode, but that'll have to be a bit later.
Sounds like another figure I'll transform once and then never again. These figures are perfection in robot mode so I'm still going to buy them, but at some point I will really need to ask myself why I buy expensive Transformers that I don’t transform.
I'm in the same boat as you. I know it's considered hearsay, but I would have bought these figures if they were hot toys level figures that were Robot mode only. EDIT: As I was writing this, my package arrived! Woo!
Woohoo! Another one fresh off of the supersonic transport from Japan. Man, the 1996 Tigatron looks very off white in this pic. I may need to find a Takara original to make these guys match a little better.
