Story wise, season 1 has a lot of fluff, but that's because its twice the length of the following seasons, there's less cheese as the series goes on (though it does keep some slapstick humor)

RED figures looks really good in pics but after wave 1, I'm afraid of CHPS.

I think the backpack is mis-transformed could be wrong but I think the truck sides can slide back up on his back instead of down. Could be wrong.

I had zero interest in “core Optimus Prime” when I saw the listing, but I love this little guy!

I don't think so, there's no seams or hinges on the sides, the bumper and sides just fold out and up onto the back as a single piece

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about NYCC. 2020 has been a strange year.

Nah, that's right. If you look closely, you can see that the U shape is only on a hinge, and the headlights section of the truck is molded to his abs, there's no room for it to slide up or donw.

I gotta say, the packaging for the deluxe and voyager class figures really rubs me wrong. The way they aren\'t in the protective plastic mold like usual kinda makes them look bootlegy. Also, only being able to see just a small amount of the figure is super scary. Like, for all you know, your figure could have a huge defect, and you\'d never know until you bought it because it was covered. Not gonna stop me from buying them (Cyclonus looks too awesome) but I\'m gonna have my fingers crossed with each one.

...i guess that folks who save the original packaging are at least doing their part to sequester that carbon... ;)

He’s not, you can see all of the transformation joints on the front of the cab for the backpack and there’s none that allow for the sides to move up

Pretty sure Hasbro is skipping NYCC this year. At least, I haven’t heard any word that they’re there.

they might do another "fan Friday" or "Transformers Tuesday" in the time frame around it... given how far along SS86 figures seem to be it seems like "virtual/delayed Toy Fair" timeline would be too late to announce wave 1.

Honestly I was kind of surprised how little they announced at Pulsecon.
(Especially with some notable ER MIAs like Thrust, Runabout and Bluestreak)

After the luster died down, I'm probably going to cancel the Breakdown/Vehicon order. I'm spending too much, and the last bunch of TFs I've impulse bought (Sixgun, Centurion, Jet Shatter, stick out in my brain) have been kind of disappointing. I'll have to go back to being way more selective.

Now, I've also never tried to cancel something from Pulse before, so that should be fun...

What do you think those notches on Core Prime's stacks are for?

They're slots to jab your money into as Hasbro contemplates re-doing the entire G1 cast at the $10-15 mini scale.
