So what was everyone's favorite part of Hasbro Pulsecon?

- The fantastic photo backdrops and lighting.

- Seeing John Warden presenting

- Seeing Primal and Cyclonus full reveals

 

-Seeing John Warden mess around with TFs on camera when others were presenting

 

Will never forget seeing Razorbeast on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air  . Being on prime time, that likely boosted his popularity a bit

 

Hmm, was just quickly scrolling through the video and decided to rewatch the part with Primal and found a fun little tidbit here, where Warden's saying:

'...we are excited to bring this to Kingdom, as we start to integrate all our franchises as one'.

Might just be a wrong use of the word all, but I'd like to think this means the next trilogy is gonna be very interesting.

 

Hopefully that means a little bit of everything. Id still like to see the transmetals completed, but maybe a little ut sneaked in would be fun. A sideways would make a fun update, especially if they use the headmaster like one

 

My favorite Pulsecon moment (there were a lot to choose from and I think overall they did a great job) had to have been Peter Cullen reprising his G1 Optimus Prime voice. He's still got it! For those wondering, it's about 2:55:30 in the livestream.

 

Meh, im personally over Cullen as Prime. Shrugs

 

I liked most everything in the stream, but if I had to pick one thing to be my favorite, it was Gregg Berger.

 

I think he did a spectacular job. However, and this is aimed at the voice director, Optimus was more of a cowboy in G1. In the movies and Prime they’ve made him so solemn. He lost the whole John Wayne aspect of him and became all serious and stuffy.

Watching Larry and Warden Playing with Primal and Megs on camera while Rachel was trying to do the marketing speak was genuinely my favorite part of the whole con.

 

it is nice to hear Cullen slip back into his original vison of Optimus, the one he based on his Brother.
no more shouty McStabFace bayformers Optimus
no more "too old for this shit" tired and weary Optimus of the Aligned continuity
it really does remind me of what i did like about g1.

also, i've never heard Frank Welker's base speaking voice until now. i didnt realize he was basically Fred/Ray by default.

 

I absolutely hate that about modern Primes

 

Yeah, at some point, a voice actor with so many roles has one that is exactly him. An example is Seth Mcfarlane. He voices 80% of the male character on family guy, his natural voice is Brian Griffen. Fred just happens to be Welker's.

Same, I can't stand the character nowadays as all primes have had there cowboy aspect removed to just be "Generic good guy".

in other news; can't wait to see Kingdom Core Class Megatron. I hope it comes with the gun mode like rumors say it will

 

Same here, I felt like the GI Joe Panel was the best. Really happy with how those figures turned out.
Kingdom is alright, but I’ll be a lot more selective towards this line compared to how I collected Siege and Earthrise before. Blackarachnia, besides the lack of the plastic having color symmetry, is great. Primal looks pretty good too, but I’ll wait for a Generations Lio Convoy (one day).
