Got mine a couple weeks ago after complete radio silence from china post for 3 months.

Took so long to get here I just bought the official one and forgot I ordered the KO. I was pleasantly surprised that there are no issues aside from a stuck foot joint that had to be doused in WD40 to loosen it up. Oddly enough, transforming it was easier than transforming the official figure.



Guess I'll just keep the KO in beast mode.

If i were to find and buy a dinobot which version should i get?

 

A couple other people have asked the same question in the thread. I think it just depends if you want the extra pieces or not.

No, I was referring to the extra pieces on the figure itself on the IT version.

 

If it makes the figure more accurate to the show i'm all for it

If it's more accurate I'd get that version but I'm more concerned with quality, I've seen a review where a foot snapped off the post when the reviewer tried to rotate it, if that's a common issue I'd rather have the other version

Infinite transformations... You can buy with or without box on eBay

 

Is there a difference in the feel of the plastic? It looks like the one on the right is glossier and left is painted more matte.

 

Plastics feel exactly the same. The KOs seems slightly glossier, but I think k part of that is because the colors are slightly darker than the original's.

 

The plastic feels near identical IMO, but the KO has some very sharp bits that the official doesn’t, like the raptor talons.

 

Just received KO Dinobot today! Overall, a really high quality knock off

The transformation is pretty frustrating though, I'm not sure if others are having this problem but the "fake chest" piece doesn't connect solidly in robot mode. A slight touch can sometimes pop it open. Also, I cant seem to fold over the tail tips to transform it into a weapon... anyone have some advice?

 

Which version did you get?

 

I presume you are getting the IT02 based on the problem you have on the tail weapon

The pin is not pushed in enough out of the factory and hence it cause you unable to pull the tip of tail all the way out. You need to knock the pin inward so that it is flushed and you will be able to transform the tail

Pretty sure I got a first run IT from Baba, didn't notice any issues on mine other than the paint was slightly different in beast mode compared to the official.
