The G.I. Joe Cobra Island first wave is an exception to this, but I think part of that is Target underestimating the demand for a brand new line from a recently dead franchise and woefully under ordering. Most of the time I have little trouble finding Target exclusives for established franchises
As far as I'm concerned, they are no different. I have yet to see a Walmart Black Widow just as much as I have yet to see a Target Beachhead.
The biggest difference is the Walmart exclusives have been easier to buy online. Black Widow was available online for weeks. Beachhead was available for about a minute. Red Hulk never had an official online release. A few showed up here and there (mostly at 2 am) The storm and thunderbird set just kind of went up whenever and was gone in five minutes, etc.
Sometimes though, Walmart fails to ship their exlcusive preorders due to "system errors" ala WFC Netflix wave 1, then there was the instant sell out of the initial run of Gigawatt (though that was more of a marketing stunt since there were practically no figures available in that run)
No she wasn't. Every time I saw her online she was sold out and others said they had their orders canceled. Plus, my account on their website is locked due to a fraudulent claim when I had my identity stolen and they refused to work with me, so my account is permenantly locked. Anyway. does anyone know where the streams are? I can't seem to find them suddenly. I want to show my wife the mean tweets bit from the Marvel stream.
Even with the Netflix wave one stuff though, they went up on the website correctly and people were able to cancel their pre orders and just order the figures. I got scrapface, mirage and chromia that way. The only real weird one was Hotlink who for some reason was relisted at like $60. But I at least saw him several times in store. She sold out initially after a day or so and then came back up a couple weeks later and stayed up for a while. And the Streams will go up Monday.
Thanks. BTW, has Pulse shipped out anyone's Kingpins yet? I'm thinking of just grabbing one on Amazon as I'm tired of waiting.
No. Gamestop says the one I ordered from them was shipped and should be delivered today but FedEx might steal it like my Mario All Stars. Pulse hasn't deigned to ship my Rogue and Pyro set either, though I received the other copy from BBTS a month ago.
I don't like Kamala all that much. She has one of the laziest powersets. When she's being straight, shes fine. The fangirl part of her character absolutely sucks. Pulse went back to letting stores have stock, first. Sucks.
has any gotten a ship notice on the hellfire club? Some got their cobra commander already but I havent gotten notice on him and I bundled those so was curious if that could be why.
I ordered both separately, and each was ordered alone; I have not received a shipping confirmation on Hellfire yet (I did receive one for Cobra Commander).
I've only just recently gotten my ship notice for Logan/Charles, which ironically was my last order. Nothing on Hellfire or CC yet.
Silver Centurion Iron Man has flooded Central New York Walgreens for any collectors in the area. Bought one, saw many, along with Wave 2 Joes except Red Ninja.
I thought the Pyro set was a Pulse exclusive? That doesn't make sense. Do they want people to cancel their preorders that much on Pulse? When did they say that?
Interesting bit of news, but over at Marvelousnews.com they're reporting that a Vision/Scarlet Witch 2 pack has been found in EBGames systems for release next month. Which means it'll be available through GaneStop here in the US if it's an exclusive. Wonder if it's comic or MCU related? Nope. Fan Channel. Which basically translates to all onkine retailers. I've had mine from BBTS since early August/late July.
Pulse release dates are the "real" release dates, some stores may get a small amount of stock before then, but in general don't rely on the earlier release dates Depends on where you are located. They ship from PA and I usually get my orders in VA within 2-3 days
