Off the back of this...is there a vid reviewer who specifically mentions what needs to be done to a FansToys (any/all) figure to correct it out of the box?

Bobby Skullface usually does at the beginning of each of his videos. I believe Paik4Life does as well?

I used to, but mostly lost interest in the last 5 years or so. Most figures I'll have a go at when I get them, and obviously if it comes in alt mode... There are several FT releases I haven't even bothered with, though. Sovereign, Rouge, Willis, and Sheridan. The last two I didn't bother due to issues apparently resulting from transforming.

Early on I loved complex transformations. I thought Alternators Wheeljack and MP-5 were fantastic...to transform anyhow.

Huh, not what I would have guessed. I only use those ones on certain backgrounds, as they are somewhat transparent.

I feel like those labels are somewhat underrated. I've used them on a few bots and they're so thin that they end up looking more like tampographs than the Ocean's Labels dry rubs.

Yeah, the fact that the potential regret for missing out would be so much more than the regret for having the figure is pretty much why I'm not cancelling yet. But at the same time it just feels stupid to pay $220 for something that I find myself just not caring all that much about, y'know? And yes, I'm like you in that I can't be bothered to sell things because shipping is too much hassle. I think I've pretty much settled on sticking with this guy - I'll probably enjoy him enough once he arrives that I'll feel better about the whole thing but damn, FT is pushing me to the limit of what I'll endure for this collection with their fucking stupid price on this guy.

And Amazon JP is sold out a long time ago. Your point being?? No I don't have to be reasonable with an unreasonable person like you. LOL.

I believe a couple of people have theirs from TFS-Express in the UK. A handful went out on Friday, the rest are shipping Monday according to their Facebook page

One of the things i love about this figure is how both alt modes look really different (including that the shuttle is quite smooth shaped whereas the train is a highly detailed sculpt), and almost completely colour swap. There are a couple of inconsistencies but i think they nailed the cartoon look pretty much, and i agree with you - i want the shuttle to look like the cartoon/movie - not a real life shuttle.

This thing is built solid, and a lot of time has clearly been taken making sure transformation joints are robust.

In all fairness he was quite mistransformed out the box, mainly in regards to the back area and the pieces on the sides of his head, and the instructions arent clear what you have to do. I also had to do a lot of tidying up as transport was not gentle.

I do agree though that people jump the gun a bit, but although i may be wrong, comically i think the FT facebook pic that has been circulating has the back section mistransformed as it looks up too high. Its definitely designed to go in where i had it.

(Will try to do robot mode later)

Yes, it makes a change to certain triple-changers who shall remain nameless but have at least one mode looking like shit *coughSpringercough*

Really glad to see they've nailed all three.

Is the clear yellow cab piece light piped? It's very cool ... looks like there's heat/light emanating from the engine room or something! o_O

    Chooo-woooooooo! :p

Funny you say that because i did a double take when i saw it!

Not light piped, none of the coloured clear plastic is, but it is quite deep and you are right - FT really know how to make this pop.
