No, the Mother Computer was that giant computer bank Spike and the Quintesson were talking in front of.

One can always hope for a better version, like TT’s new Volcanicus having the two giant swords.

Selects Volcanicus is the equivalent of the UW boxed sets. UW Computron already had new tooling and colors.

Devastator and Superior were the only ones to get re-released. TakaraTomy Mall did restock (most likely excess stock they were getting rid of) their exclusive ones such as Lynx Master, Megatronia, and Guardian. But again, that was likely leftovers they were getting rid of as they tend to do.

    So those were left overs?

Also, I noticed it was sold only at amiami. I don't recall them being sold in hobbysearch or hlj.

I got the reissue Superion from Amazon Japan (I had the original but hoped the reissue might have the gray face seen in the promo shots - it didn't). Hobby Search and HLJ both carried the reissue Superion and Devastator (I have a newsletters from 3/31/2020 and 2/22/2019 respectively) mentioning Superion. So Hobby Search even had Superion up until this year.

Regarding the TakaraTomy Mall leftover stock, can't recall when the last time they had a combiner as part of it, but it's been probably over a year. Even then no place would have carried them, since it was just TTM getting rid of leftover stock and not a re-release. So probably only a small amount to sell.

To be clear, Superion and Devastator were the only ones ever reissued.

hlj's system is so hard to track. Hobbysearch? I must have missed it. I'm primarily on amiami with HS as my second go to. As for the rest, those were overstock then? Aside from Superion and Devs? Also, you mentioned gray faced of gray face plate?

The others were leftover stock and were only the TakaraTomy Mall exclusives at their own website.

Superion's stock photography had a gray face like the animation. The final toy (both original and reissue) have a silver face.

I really love these comics, but I wish they didn’t rely so much on small universe syndrome.

Okay, so this is "mother computer" but it's not a hint at any potential future figure? I don't know enough lore to know if the reason this is shadowed is because it could still be A Thing (TM).

That's what I figured, sice it shows up during the Mother Computer panels, it's gotta be something related to it.
    Right?

The mother computer is originaly from BWII, where it was a remnant of an old civilisation from Gaia. It not only provited the altmodes for the Predacons but was also responsible for observing the Angolmois Energy, so that it can´t be missused.

As a matter of fact, we know that Gaia was once earth, so maybe this manga is finally explaining the background of whatever caused earth to be left without humans. In the Legends manga they even showed us how Artemis and Moon where created.

So who knows, it certanly must play a role in the following chapters, otherwhise they wouldn´t show it to us so prominently.

A thought that just occurred to me: what are the chances that Takara will take Elita-Infinite, polish up the colors, and release her in a box set?

Not sure. I'm more fixated on Computron than her, really. I suppose it could happen and we can have another Autobot fembot combiner, perfect for those who didn't collect the Autobot ladies from POTP and couldn't score Greenlight from Siege.

(And heads up, Elita-One combined with the fembots is named Orthia.)

Seems less likely now that she appears in this comic in combined form. Note that Greenlight and Lancer were never released by TakaraTomy.

yes please. We need more OC's from Takara's side as of late. I'd get two since I've learned the regrets of not doubling up on Megatronia.... I love the individuals but she's combined in my displays!!

And that's how Shatter was imported into G1.
