This is my review for Transformers R.E.D. (Robot Enhanced Design) Soundwave.

    Look at the box.

Out of the box, look at how it's packed.
    DSCN4965.JPG

Looking at the design and sculpt of the figure, pretty awesome and show accurate. However, the neck is on a skinny ball joint and might be noticeable.
    DSCN4966.JPG DSCN4967.JPG DSCN4968.JPG

The figure can be posed very well. Thing is, the waist does not turn much. Mostly because of the battery pack on his back. Plus, you might want to be careful when raising arms. Because arms were a bit stuck and needs to be moved by force to loosen the joints.
    DSCN4969.JPG DSCN4970.JPG DSCN4971.JPG
    DSCN4975.JPG DSCN4976.JPG

Accessories, he comes with 2 changeable hands. One for both arms. One to store weapon and the other to look like he's pressing button. Plus, Shoulder Cannon may fall off occasionally, just need to make sure it's secured.

The button on his shoulder does make tape door open (Just by pushing it, no lock). Plus can store tape. When door opens tape may fall.

Size comparison, Looks between him and Earthrise Quintesson Judge.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this figure. Even though it does not Transform, It would be great to have in collection (Especially if you are a big Soundwave fan). I give this figure a 9.5 out of 10. Any questions or requests, feel free to ask (But that is only if I have figures or can pose it that way).

    In the words of Soundwave...

    SOUNDWAVE SUPERIOR!!!

Nice looking figure. But to me, non-transforming Transformers are pointless and irrelevant.

Neato! I saw him in the store with Megatron, but I had to pass because the peg for the thigh swivel looked bent so he had a major bow leg.

Is it possible to see him next to a Siege Voyager? Soundwave preferably.

There was always something off about this figure compared to the other 2, and I think it's the kinda tiny neck peg. Plus I think the blue should be darker, if it's trying to be the cartoon model.

Then why did you bother saying anything

Picked up mine Yesterday. Got Lucky and found him hidden and buried behind tons of stuff in the toy isle at a local Walmart here in Phx, AZ. It was the only R.E.D. figure there. (All I need now is Megatron)

He may just be wondering if the handle is 5mm compatible.

    Not even remotely. :lol

The shoulder canon is though, kinda. It's a very short 5mm nub.

Why do they call them "robot enhanced design" when they are anything BUT an "enhanced" design?

hmmm not sure. Admittedly, I hated these things at first. But seeing them in person (I still haven't seen the Megatron), they have their charm and appeal.

They are a mix of PVC and ABS Plastic respectively.

they are just something to mess with at your desk. the posing is fun. (for me) they have some nice weight to them due to the PVC plastic. eh, overall I like'em. They are alright. But I can see why people don't care for them. They aren't really needed or Must-have types of figures, unless you are just after some TF action figures. Also, for having only 24 points of Articulation. eh, they are fine. :thumb

It's a hit or miss line. It's not the total failure some people say it is. But Hasbro definitely makes some head-scratching decisions in terms of aesthetics and articulation.

Agreed 100% But the upside is that they made a soundwave that was pretty decent for a decent price. Yeah there’s some flash that could’ve been fixed, and better materials always can be a plus, but $60 for a sub-par 7 ultimates that isn’t all that as far as accuracy….no thanks

Oh the Ultimates were far worse in just about every way IMO. Soundwave is definitely a good figure, with my only real gripe is the shoulder cannon connection is shallow and can fall out easily. I think I paid $20 back when he came out and he was more than worth it.
