We are 100% sure polar claw and gears are cut? They must have at least been in the design phase. Seems like a waste of resources. If the line proves to be popular, we may still see them.

 

Everything looks good so far. I bet Huffer (and Pipes?) will be a retool of core Optimus.

 

Damn that sucks, Gears is the one guy missing from my 84 cars line up. So they didn’t shoot down the others from the Walmart leaks like Dinobot and Shadow panther?

 

Makes you wonder if US Walmarts will actually carry the core line at all.  I know it says in a previous news line that it is in their system, but they did away with all toys smaller than the deluxe line. Only Target carry the scout and legends line, unless you order it online for extra $$.  I like the packaging.

Apollux said the cool art piece was a concept sent to the executives to sell them on the idea of Kingdom, nothing was in the design phase at that point.
I too hope they eventually do get made, though I'd think now they'll probably end up in whatever line comes after Kingdom.

 

Thoughts:

Just how big is Cyclonus?, he's looking to be Leader height. He might have lightpiping and he does have landing gear.
Somehow the whole nose come collapses into his chest.

As much as I know not to expect too much from Hasbro product shots they should have caught that Cyclonus's hands were still out.

BW Meg's and Blackarachnia are a hard yes for me. Warpath most likely, but the CHUG version will still be my go-to.

Am I the only one still holding out hope that the OP repack is smoke and mirrors to hide finally making that Armada Prime a reality?

Universe Cyclonus was the gold standard for a long time (CW Cykes was a pretty cheap and dirty retool), but this is the most G1-accurate version I've seen to date.

Also digging Core Optimus. A downsized version of the amazing Earthrise figure? Oh yes, please.

Speaking of Core, it looks like Hasbro learned some lessons from 3P Legends and they're brimming with articulation and detail now.

And the BW Megatron is just gorgeous.
