Thanks for the info, as of Monday, it was still full price at the Targets here in NYC, some were even charging $159.99. I'll go back and check this weekend.

Picked this guy up on clearance tonight. I never thought the HftD Leader would be usurped like this, but here we are! My only complaint, which unfortunately doesn't seem unique, is that the left shoulder is pretty weak. Gonna see if some future can fix that, but besides that he is fantastic. My first Masterpiece in years does not disappoint.

Well, does not disappoint too much if I can't get that shoulder fixed.

Fuck all NYC targets. They don't ever have anything good and they stick really really hard to street dates, while the rest of the country will get figures a month early or half off.

Even the suburban NYC Targets will never, ever have the type of clearances we're seeing across the rest of the country. It's a shame.

Yep I've checked targets on long island and upstate NY and they never have anything good either nor do they ever have good sales. The one near me in Manhattan JUST put up a 10% off sale on transformers, but it's all stuff from 6 months ago and 10% off is only enough to cover the tax anyways.

Definitely worth the $75 clearance price. I have always been a fan of the movie Starscream character design and no other toy has ever done the robot mode shape correctly. Mine also doesn't have any weak joints.

Absolute beast of a figure! I don't collect movie figures, but I'm glad I got this guy for $55.

How did you get it for $55? $75 seemed to be the price everyone saw on clearance.

$75 clearance price plus a 30% off coupon I'd been hanging on to that was about to expire. Was just over $55 out the door.

Was hesitant to grab this guy at full price, but luckily I got one for $75 at my local target (apparently the only one for 100 miles, according to Brickseek!).

Overall, I think this is absolutely the best movie Screamer. I am disappointed by the kibble on the jet mode, but the paint is great... the entire top of the jet mode is actually painted with semi-matte paint, and it almost looks like they utilize the printing method used for Beast Wars figures on the grey.

I fared well on the quality front, as the joints on mine are all reasonably tight. Given the fact that they implemented those WONDERFUL butterfly joints in his chest that allow him to get a hunched appearance, it seems like a major oversight to me that they didn't include any sort of bicep swivel- that is a joint I found myself really missing when fiddling with this guy.

All in all, the flaws are, for me, excusable. This is one of my favorite movie MPs so far, and it caused me to say "screw it" and order Megatron and look for Jazz and Ratchet to finish off my movie crew. I think they'll probably move onto sequel characters before they do the rest of the movie 1 Decepticons simply because they are so darn big with a lot less popularity than Megs and Screamer.

Picked mine up today, on clearance for my birthday gift. Got to say he's pretty awesome. Only complaints is the instructions are hard to read especially with the small stuff.
He's a little hard to stand when trying to pose.
But in all I like him. Glad I got him. Just waiting to find ratchet

My wife picked this up for me on clearance at Target for a "get well soon" gift as I just had surgery. (I'm fine, it was elective :)  )

I was on the fence about him because I'm a "size queen" (don't laugh) when it comes to alt mode scale. So the huge OSKO HTFD SS was my go-to.

But man, this guy is absolutely great. Even though he has quite a bit of kibble, it doesn't really "flop" around and everything has it's place. The posing and articulation is excellent on him, and I'm glad I got him at 50% off. (Hopefully this doesn't mean the end of MPMs at Target, though.)

He has so much character, it's insane. My only issue is that I can't seem to get the arms correctly back in alt mode. The back panel against the thrusters doesn't flat. Does anyone have a photo of a configuration that works for them? I'd greatly appreciate it!

A perfect figure he is not, he may have good shelf pressence but the QC issue with his arms and no paint at all for his weapons, making them very plain, leave much to be desired in a Masterpiece.

If you are one of the lucky ones with tight arm ratchets then I hope you enjoy it, from the picture others have posted, he is photogenic.

I know I shouldn't complain as I was able to get him off clearance at Target for half off, but I can see why he is at such a deep sale. Was on the fence in getting him but seeing the sales price and the praises he had gotten from others in this thread, I had to snag him to hold in my own hands, but seeing that I am not able to even pose him dynamically like others have in their wonderful pictures of the figure, mine was just a bust.

Right arm while holding a weapon droops down with a simple nudge, Left Arm just can't hold a pose with the small gatling or no weapons at all.

Another issue I have is owning the Studio Series Voyager figure and I just had to compare, it does some things better at such a smaller price; from the paint, a bicep swivel, and a cleaner streamlined alt mode.

I'm gonna have to return the guy, If he didn't have the issues with his arms, he would've been a solid keeper.

What's the tab look like after you cut it? And what did you use to cut it? I tried and couldn't fit anything in there to reach it

I used a dremel and reached it easily. Just de-transform him til the neck is more exposed.
