I really hope I'm wrong, but the first series was so dour and boring... and this doesn't look like it will be anymore fun than that one.

Seeing as each season is 6 episodes, total of 18, it shouldn't be much longer. I expect Kingdom to release with the Kingdom Toyline.

I'm also expecting because they cut as many corners as possible, there will be some new Bodies in Kingdom. The only Army Builders should be the Terrorcon Fossilizers.

 

I just had another thought, could that even be a face modelled for Prime being recycled with a nose stuck on it, and a short nose at that to not have to animate any of that complex nostril area movement a full length nose would look weird/uncanny valley without?

In the studios I've worked at it's normal to have template characters So these will be just the most bare bones characters with faces, hands and feet that we can then modify to be secondary characters. So Transformers not exactly being normal I'd wager a lot a characters share basic faces, hands etc while the torso is new.. I think what's happened here is that they took a face, looked at the toy and went "oh shit, we cant match this exactly and we've got zero money to make a custom rig so just make it passable"

 

It's probably Scrapface, a Reflector repaint from the first wave of the trilogy line who never actually showed up in Siege

 

Would that basic face mean they couldn't just lengthen the nose a smidge?

Its reason i like comic con more and yes I met jaimes raiz was in his video blog there but comic con they accept changes in movies and comics and accept new people who are new to comic con fans transformer fans are not like that

I came to the conclusion on a rewatch that Siege was quite fun when approaching the Autobots as being some sort of suicide cult led by an absolute fucking madman.

This next series can be their purgatory. And mine.

I actually bought a few extra Ratchets when they were on sale at Wags to make them into Autotroopers. A proper head was my only problem, was thinking using Cog’s head. The main reason I went with Siege Ratchet was to homage the Animated version of the Troopers as opposed to Kiss Players or other depictions.

 

so I don’t know if I am in this camp too. I think my issue with this is that I want it to be good, and heck there are large parts of it I really enjoy, but my issue is mostly about it falling short of “good” , it’s simply “okay”, which is a shame because I was expecting the spiritual sequel to TF Prime. But sadly this is not it and that sparks a frustrated emotion in me.

Maybe I am just being over critical.

 

Ya the trailer did not hype me like Siege did. I'm also not too thrilled with Exhaust having Wheeljack's head. I'm less unhappy about the coneheads being Siege Seeker molds since that would technically make more sense. I definitely need to see more and I'm still looking forward to the 2nd season but man, they did not do a good job with this trailer.

 

Still waiting For TF show that makes me care about the characters like tfp and others did. I just didn’t give a single shit about anyone. No one seemed likable in the slightest. This is the TLJ of transformers buy in show form. Subvert expectations and then try to be edgy.

 

When it was first announced that Peter Cullen and Frank Welker would be PulseCon guests I suspected it might be to announce their involvement and perhaps an apology. Sadly, that was not the case.

I don’t hate this series but it definitely has it’s flaws. Clearly, many would consider that an understatement!

 

Somehow Siege worked better for me the second watch through when I watched it with Japanese voices.

I’m sure this will be a nice romp.
