Same here. Stopped by a Target in Illinois to see if it was on clearance and it was, despite showing full price online. I bought mine last week, but I'm going back with my receipt today to try and get store credit.

EDIT: I strongly recommend taking the receipt back to your target and talking to the returns associate. I was able to get a full refund and then "buy" the one on sale. A work around that essentially saved me 75 bucks.

Also, I had a thought. Could it be possible that they are trying to push it out of their stores so they don't have to carry 2 MPMs at once? With Ratchet coming in a week, they may not want to use shelf space for two expensive collectors items. I wonder if Starscream wouldn't have gone on sale so fast if the release dates were further apart.

When I was a kid I wanted an MP skywarp, but couldn't afford it with my allowance. Then at Walmart it went on clearance for 20 bucks and I got my wish :D  it's come full circle and I picked one of these MPM starscreams up today! Although $20 would have been nicer hehe

Against my better judgement, I bought him.

Even at $75, I am hard pressed to say he is any better than Black Mamba.

He certainly is weak in the knees.

The knees lock into place, otherwise they're floppy. I didn't know this at first, until someone pointed it out. The weak shoulder joints are hit or miss, I would exchange it if you can. My figure's shoulders hold up the weapons no problem.

It’s Hasbro and Takara they both worked on it.
Unfortunately that’s true and the assembly is pinned together, making it harder to access.

This was scare when I first bought Starscream. My only concern, though the shoulders on mine are fine now, is how long before they start flopping around like this.
Give it a second chance. Return and exchange the one you have now and maybe the next one will be better. Just remember to lock the knees and the ankles next time.

I got my clearance Starscream today at Target in Ann Arbor MI.

I've got the floppy shoulder, too. I held off on buying this, thinking it might be smart to wait for an improved KO; but at $75, I decided to bite. Now I will probably return it.

I was able to exchange at another Target. I immediately checked in the parking before I left for the bottom jaw, and it was installed.

People getting such floppy shoulders right out of the box seems like a manufacturing issue. Mine are still so tight that I have to hold the figure or I’ll untab the whole arm from the body.

It's his ankles that are the problem (if you watch my video you will see it's the ankles that pivot). But "weak in the ankles" is not the cliche. His knees are fine, I do have them locked in. But the ankles are so loose, posing him is is harder than Combiner Wars Menasor. The shoulders actually are not loose. It's only when he is holding a weapon in his left hand that it's a problem. The weapon is too heavy and the ratchet too weak.

Regardless. It's not just the joints. It's the cheap feeling plastic. It's the lazy design. It's Hasbro not giving a crap anymore. This whole toy just screams "you will buy what we make because screw you." Because most Transformers fans happily do these days. Standards have gotten so low, that's just the world we live in now. But hey, at least most Transformers fans have the principles not to buy the superior knockoff toys.

The ankles actually lock into place, significantly limiting their articulation. Give them a firm push (they do dislodge easily, but having the ankles and knees locked does make him stand solidly).

It is and it’s unfortunate because it’s hard to track down without getting it out of the box and transforming/posing. Also hard to take apart since it’s pinned. I haven’t seen anyone take it apart yet.

I went by my local Target in NJ and grabbed a $75 Starscream. Won't get to open him until tomorrow. Looks like a national clearance on this guy.

Was going to get out of the movie MP game, but I saw this guy on clearance for $75 and couldn't pass it up. Not a perfect toy, but a STEAL for that amount. I've had my hands on almost every movie Starscream mold but there is no contest that this is the best robot mode there is. MPM01 Screamer may take the cake for best jet, but it's close too...

Same here. I was going to get Ratchet and be happy w/ my complete set of 2007 Autobots. But earlier this week I got a used Newage Mista for $120 and now Starscream for $75. Now I almost feel obligated to get Megatron. Lol
