Good to see progressing well. Those test shots seem to show which bits are diecast and which will be lighting up.

My favorite version of megatron. Looks amazing. This is far more than I've ever paid for a collectible, but I'm extremely tempted.

Is there somewhere that discusses Tarn's floppiness? I don't see any mention of floppiness in any of the Tarn reviews or the threads I can find in this forum.

What seems to happen with Tarn is that if you have him posed with the cannon arm outstretched over a long period of time, the shoulder joint can start to sag.

I've had mine posed like that with no ill effects ever since he came out, though (outside of the few instances I've taken off the shelf to mess around with a bit). But I took minor precautions, knowing that some people had experienced that sag. When posed like that, I make sure the shoulder joint is twisted so that the joint isn't working against gravity, oriented so that the shoulder axis is parallel to the ground, rather than perpendicular.

I’ve had Tarn for over a year and he’s snug as a bug. I’ve never experienced any floppiness. And after picking up Optimus, Prime feels like a little bit of a downgrade in quality. Mainly articulated hands and tightness.

I think Tarn's the only one with articulated hands. I honestly prefer the fixed-posed ones myself. No chance of the fingers popping off and getting lost, and the ones included are quite a bit more expressive. No infinite posing options, of course, but they give me the essentials.

If you could only get Tarn OR Megatron which would you get? Luckily I'm not a completest. But I want one.

I’m going with Megatron, but I’m biased lol. It’s one of, if not my all time favorite design for Megatron. I’m still holding out hope for GCreation’s version, but with Flame Toys’ craftsmanship and quality, their version is too good to pass up. Hopefully it’s a knockout release.

Of course, if Tarn’s character interests you more, go with him. They’re releasing a metallic version of him, right? Good opportunity there to snag one

I can’t recall if it’s actually metallic or not, my apologies for the confusion. But they’re reissuing the figure and it looks shinier than the first run to me

I think he means the burst version and it was a very limited release that happened I think over a year ago.

Well now I feel like a jerk. Sorry @edstuff ! But the reissue is still a go, so like my original post said, if Tarn is a cooler character to you then get him

I skipped Drift because he wasn't an important enough character to spend that much dough on. But I've gone in on everything else.

Tarn is more important than Drift? Interesting. Tarn certainly has less "page time," haha. And IDW Star Saber is far less central than either.

I said that was my reasoning for not buying Drift, not that it was logic I consistently applied to reasoning out the rest of my Flame Toys purchases :p . Tarn I got, of course, because he's cool and imposing looking. And Star Saber pretty much the same, I guess (I mean, I haven't even bothered to watch Victory, so I don't really care about Star Saber is a character).

I guess if it suits you better, I should have said that Drift didn't stand out well enough in any respect to see me spending that much money on him.
