Digging through my first batch a bit more is the twin to Flatline's concept, a Cybertronian version of the little-known Off-Road Patrol member, Torque! Torque is another member of the 501st Logistics Unit aboard the Longbow, and also doubles serves as its medical officer. He's better engineer than a medic, however, but is very good at consulting manuals and following directions. He was a member of the laboring underclass before the war, like his forgemate Hoist, but chose the Autobot way over Decepticon carnage. And he is very, very blue, although he retains some green forearm deco to honor his old friend. Like the Flatline custom, this is a jazzed up Classics Hoist with a LOT of blue paint (because Torque was pretty much solid blue, with a bit of silver, a touch of green, and some chrome-blue detailing. and a bunch of Toyhax stickers. And I switched out Hoists head for Trailcutter's. Just to be a bit more different.
That orange and blue really pops (in a great way). Those Toyhax stickers make it even better. Kudos! My Hoist sitting in the corner: "Uh oh, I'm going to to repainted into someone else soon, aren't I?"
Really nice! I guess all those surplus thrilling 30 molds are gonna get used after all! With those colors, he almost has a TFA Sentinel vibe to him.
It really is a nice mold, ain't it? I have a long-term plan to do all the Transform Universe characters, and several are ideal for the mold. Which is cool because those Hoist and Trailcutter bots are so cheap on Ebay. I think I got a both together for just a little over $20.
Thank you. TF:U bots need love too. This mold's bot mode chest is a bit wide, but it still might make a good mold for a RiD2015 Strongarm and Nightra. He was such a fun dickhead in the show.
