This game is so frustrating sometimes. Twice in a row now Redd has had nothing but fakes. And twice before the only genuine work he had was something I already had. And I don’t have that much.

I’ve gotten almost as much art as random gifts from villagers as I’ve gotten from him.

 

I've been buying the duplicate genuines and trading them, what do you have?

I think it was a Glowing Painting but I need to check. I gave the other duplicate to my daughter.

 

Aw man. That looks like fun, but I still haven't restarted my island since my Switch broke and they lost my save. So I probably won't be able to get all the fun outfits.

 

I mean if you change the switch clock, all the big events are still there if you want to get any items you missed.

Did they cut down on the odds of getting gold nuggets? It just seems like they come less frequently now. I went on 6 NMT tours yesterday trying to get some, used up 3 stone axes, and got a grand total of one.

 

Nope, that would just be odds, I know the feel though.

Well not sure it matters. I can't seem to get the Golden Armor recipe. But I sure have plenty of duplicates of other recipes. Have a whole beach covered. Will have to open up and have folks come and grab whatever they don't have.

Sure seems like it though. Before it seemed like I was getting at least one every day. After I took a long break and came back to it over a month ago, I finally came across one yesterday.

 

Since launch I usually get at least one per day from my island’s money rocks, with the odd day here and there where I don’t get a nugget. My wife plays on the same island and plays more than I do, and she almost never gets gold nuggets. Kinda weird.

 

How do you get gold nuggets from a money rock?

I have only been able to add one piece from him to the museum in the last two months. Get better luck via random gifts from villagers.

 

Sorry, I just meant rocks. As for art, yeah it’s frustrating. A month ago the villagers started mailing us a lot of art and it’s all genuine...and also all pieces we already have - which is especially annoying since our gallery is mostly empty. We got five or six pieces from villagers in the last month. I wonder if they’re spacing the art out to make up for allowing the fossils to be completed so quickly?

Also today I learned that there is a beetle fight club in the museum.

 

I planted 132 pumpkin starts yesterday. And I was able to get a Spooky Fence recipe from Del, so I'm well on my way to being able to decorate.

 

Yeah that's what I was thinking but it seems to me like they went a little too far. You get four fossils every day, and sure they may be duplicates but none are fakes. Meanwhile you get to choose from 4 art pieces maybe every two weeks or so and it's quite possible they are all fakes.
