I just want actual consistent story tell and real character development again. Both of these things Beast Wars excelled at...

That doesn't mean a plot device turns an impulsive kid into a mature adult in two seconds... Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime.

That doesn't mean you time jump 20 years in the future. Hot Shot.

It means you actually show realistic character growth. Cheetor.

Don't kill characters just to be dark and edgy cause it's not. If you want their death to mean anything we have to actually give a damn about who they are as characters first. Watching a full episode of Skyquake just grunting most of his lines doesn't tell me anything about who he is. Why should I care that he died when he was exactly the same alive as when he's a terrorcon zombie. Transmutate's death meant something because they spent the episode treating her like an actual character. She didn't talk much either but when she did speak her dialog carried some weight giving insight into how she thinks and feels with very little effort... while Skyquake is just an angry rage monster with no clear motivation.

Beast Wars wasn't perfect, they could of improved on some things... like there were a few dangling plot threads left unanswered. Who were the Vok? What were Tarantulus and the Tripredacus council's origins? What happened to Starscream? How did no one find the remains of the Maximals and Predacons that were left on Earth? But other than those minor nit picks it's damn near perfect.

Something else I want to see that Beast Wars didn't do... make it a common thing for everyone to have a Cybertronian mode before coming to Earth...

Beast Wars set the bar for good story telling pretty damn high and while a few shows have gotten close no series since then has ever set the bar higher.

    - A stylized art style like Animated's
    - No A-listers for lead characters. No Optimus, no Bumblebee, no Windblade, etc. Make room for less popular characters. (In my story, the Autobot team is composed of Elita-One, Armada Red Alert, Hot Shot and Chromia)
    - A small cast so each character gets a fair amount of screen time and development.
    - Human supporting characters who have enjoyable interactions with the bots and contribute to the plot
    - A cast with a good amount of both malebots and fembots that does not rely on genderswaps and comes off as natural instead of forced
    - New interesting takes on established characters
    - A good balance between light-heartedness and drama
    - The Decepticons being presented as a serious threat
    - Does not rely solely on G1 or McGuffins like the All-Spark
    - A rocking opening like Animated's

Please no. I like Animated but that art style is the worst thing about it. Never do that again.

    Yes please!

The problem is it's really difficult to write anything for tiny squishy flesh bags to make them contribute to the plot in any meaningful way in a story about giant alien robots without making them seem unrealistically over powered or making the Transformers appear weak. It has been done but rarely.

    Yes please.

I think we kind of get that anyway...

    Yes please!

You mean like most shows already?

The G1 part... No series relies SOLELY on G1 but every series takes influence from it cause it's impossible not to do that and still call it Transformers.

The McGuffin part... yeah that does happen way too often...

Animated's was just a remix of the original 80's theme song... or were you talking about the Japanese version?

Heavy rewrite/rework adaptation of MTMTE would be genuinely amazing.

One based on my well thought out fanfiction.

    * Megatron is a rabblerouser from Velocitron recruited by the last known Prime, Alpha Trion, to unite all the nations of Cybertron.

    * Orion Pax/Optimus Prime is a Chosen One type character who is also manipulated by Alpha Trion.

    * Hot Shot is at first unconnected to the main story but has several side stories that are adaptions of the movies "Night of the Comet", "Big Trouble in Little China", and "Roadhouse" in B plots before he seeks out the artifacts of Quintes Prime(e.g. her staff, which can make sparks without the need for the Allstars, hot spots, or Vector Sigma), the sword/Talisman, and making friends with Dragonstorm. Also Skids would be there.

    * Comic relief would come from Decepticons Wild Wheel and his bumbling cohorts Dirt Boss and Mudflap.

    * Lots of Dinobots with the same type of characterization as Grimlock in "Cyberverse"

    Lots more

Anything but more "Autobots/Maximals wage their battles to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons/Predacons."
Like I get it, in stories like this you're always going to have heroes fighting the bad guys, but I dunno, I just want something that doesn't just revisit the same old war we've already seen over and over again. Post-war stories, Autobots and Decepticons learning to co-exist on a relatively peaceful Cybertron, anything but the same song and dance we've been getting.

A smaller, cast-focused show about a group of young Autobots left behind on Earth following the war's end, attempting to find a way back to Cybertron, all while avoiding the Decepticons on Earth gunning for their heads. For once, the war between the Autobots and Decepticons doesn't end on earth. They take to the stars once again after years of skirmishing on Earth, and the conclusion of the war is unclear for the first season, serving as a big reveal. Autobot and Decepticon troops are left behind to fend for themselves, including our crew of young autobots. This could include rarely used characters and/or names, like many of the forgotten Micromasters, or the toys from the G2 era (Turbomasters, whatever we called the Road Cesar bots over here).

On the Decepticon side, it's mostly animalistic and very humanoid Decepticons ala RID2015. Think the Monstructor Six, the Horrorcons, the Pretenders, the Seacons, and so on. Most of them have gone crazy from the years of isolation (although their sanity probably wasn't very solid to begin with), with it manifesting in different ways. The Pretenders start to take on the persona of their shells, with many of them have a favored "haunt" themed to their appearance. Bludgeon stalks the forests of Japan, Submarauder and Finback hunt ships in the middle of the Atlantic, Bomb-Burst stalks eastern Europe, and so on. The Seacons become even more predatory and single-minded about the hunt, the Monstructor Six take to worshipping some Elder God type thing that is hinted at being the source of their ability to combine, the Horrorcons revel in destruction, and other appropriate traits. They all get wind of a crew of Autobots trying to return home, and they're interesting in killing the crew and finding a way home for themselves.

Honestly what I want is basically just another Cybertron the more I think about it. A fun planet-hopping romp leading up to the confrontation between Optimus and Megatron on Earth, assembling their own teams along the way and steadily rising the ranks to replace (or in Megatron's case, deliberately usurp) the current leaders of their respective factions. Something that pays homage to what came before, bringing back all sorts of old characters, but forges a completely different path with them. Have vehicles and beasts together like Cybertron did and Kingdom is about to do and don't bother justifying it, just let rule of cool do the legwork. The funniest thing is I remember really not liking Cybertron back in the day (and to be fair, I find the stock footage even more excessive now as an adult, but at least the English dub made it a bit more bearable with the inclusion of extra dialogue) but now I adore what it brought to the table and I wish we could have something that unapologetically fun again.

    Reboot of Transformers: Unicron Trilogy.
More planned out, in regards to characters, connectivity and of course streamlined. Old Characters and maybe some new faces.

-A focus on the mythology. Primus and Unicron, and their various agents, should be a main focus or at least a backdrop to the Autobot-Decepticon war.
-Something more than "Decepticons bad, Autobots good".
    -Story arcs.

My ideal future TF show would be something I'd never think of or predict.

I never would have conceived a show like Animated in my head, but it became everything I wanted. I'm hoping one day we get a new TF show that feels familiar yet fresh like TFA, with quality and creativity abound.
