Already gave up on this line tbh. $70 deluxe figures is not appealing to me. I’d rather wait on MP figures with a lot more refined engineering and actual altmodes for just a little more and a way bigger figure for the price.

 

Yeah I think this is the final nail in the coffin for me too. Oh well I guess some people will be happy with this, since it is the best "transforming" version of this design. And although I can guarantee it's gonna be way too expensive, the paint work is at least nice.

 

I realize it was expected with this design, but that's still too much of a non-alt mode for me, especially at that price.

More than enough awesome figures this year, though, so all good.

 

I'm down with this, him turning into a box is fine for me because it's both cop out and homage. Soundwave has the built in easy out for a design that wasn't intended to be anything. Hopefully he's a little involved, but I'll take it. Now if they do this again with Shockwave, there's gonna be words.

Ravage is a huge win. I'm kinda hoping they look into inventing more deployers in this style that can fit in there. If you're giving us a space box, at least fulfill the promise of multiple smaller boxes.

Also, just once I'd like to see a space box do the "space box justification" that's been implied a couple times. A play set where you dock wave and unlock features.

 

Too much geewunn / fat thighs... Not my thing... I hope it turns out great for those who like Knight's style.

Cancelled my ThreeZero Soundwave for this one. They at least got the head sculpt right and it transforms too.

It can't even really be classified as a box. It's just a lumpy alien broadcast machine made of undisguised robot limbs

 

Looks pretty dope imo. I think it looks more like the movie then the official. Can anyone say it does not?

 

His alt mode is modeled on a mobile energon dispenser? like a cooler on wheels? only his carries Ravage, instead of Energon cubes. LOL he'd blend in at Autobot Tailgater parties, and be the spy that he's supposed to be I guess.
Why doesn't Travis Knight make Soundwave turn into a large lion, tiger, etc.. what ever Ravage is, and make him like the larger version. His roar is his sonic weapon, and his altmode would look good as a giant cat, with a big cannon on it's back. Would make Ravage carried in his chest even that much more interesting.
