Anyone have the MS Video Team as well to compare and contrast? I have the MS Video Team and have been on the fence about buying these guys too... but those visible ball joint in the arms and visible tabs on the inside of the legs... holding me back. I generally prefer NA to MS in the legends... but this guy is giving me a tough time deciding to buy or not. Any redeeming qualities in robot mode for NA vs MS???

 

there's plenty of comparison photos in this thread already. imo… if you are strictly looking at bot mode… for toy, NA wins because it's just better looking overall with the custom paint apps and varying molds for each figure, even with the arm ball joints visible. as for toon, i think MS looks a little cleaner. personally only going to get the NA toy version and passing on both MS and NA toon.

@TIKnTIN already linked to my post with comparison pics, but as I may have said in this or the MS Reflector thread (I can't remember which one) I just really like the toy colors of the NA. Those ball joint elbows are definitely unsightly, so in a comparison of the toon colors, I think MS definitely takes the cake. But I think the more vibrant colors of Newage Rear Window plus the fact they all have distinct heads and weapons make them the more appealing choice for the toy version.

Its too bad you already have Video Team, because if you had the regular toon colored one, then I would have no qualms saying get Rear Window.

Finally got the whole set! For the time being, I’ve caught up on all of the Newage figures (the stupidly-rare lucky draw ones excepted). Now I’m ready for the six Soundwaves!

 

Got my Reflector today, finally! it's amazing... but the batteries... IT'S A TOTALLY HELL. Very bad design of the "push button", very hard to put into the place again. I'll never change the batteries again.

 

i ordered one last week, but seller cancelled. still on the hunt for my toy deco.

I think the NA Reflector is cleaner than MS Reflector. Will fit fine with MS Soundwave!.

 

Got this guy yesterday. Really fun set. Never been disappointed with Newage.

 

Got the toon version, I like how they look a lot, but I wish I could transform them without a tool to open those legs panels

 

I've found that there's just enough lip on the back of the hinge to push on it and pop the flap out enough to get some nail under it. I bite my nails due to my current stress, and I'm still able to pry them out.

 

Quick solution; relax and stop eating nails!.

 

Bro... if only it were that easy.
