I also took some measurements of my MP-10's trailer, and it turns out it's actually to scale with at least ER Wheeljack and Hoist based mostly on width and height measurements of the vehicles they're based on (Lancia Stratos and Toyota HiLux, respectively, relative to the width of a dry van semitrailer). If vehicle-to-vehicle scale is important to you, MP-10 actually works. If cartoon scale, especially with robot modes, is important to you, then ER Prime would be better.

That being said, I would pick up ER Prime if I could find it on sale. It seems like a really neat figure. I really like how poseable it is, and its robot mode reminds me of how he looked in the G1 cartoon. I could always 3D print a Roller to go with him too.

At first I wasn't gonna get that backpack/filler piece, but then I figured I've already grabbed all the other upgrades for it. Might as well get the backpack too and be done with it. Looks great!

 

The gap in truck mode keeps bothering me so i grabbed that filler. It's a fantastic little piece.

 

Who makes the back filler?

that little piece of plastic costs $15? That seems a bit much.

 

It's hand-sanded and painted.

 

It's good quality and does transform between modes using pins and joints. I can understand it being a bit pricey, but for me, the cost was worth it to cover that gap as I display him in truck mode as much as robot mode and it really, really annoyed me. Probably more than it should. I guess it comes down to how much does the gap bother you.

 

Now, if they could only do’s something about those wheels on the back.

 

It's not for everyone but the wheels pop off real easy, and since I display mine in bot mode I don't need the wheels on.

 

I've posted these in the Earthrise thread, but I figure that they belong on this thread more..

I did several customization and quite happy with him now...

Painted the legs blue, the eyes yellow. The trailer got the ZXB-01B kit and was completely painted inside. Black wash for the most part, then highlights and the repair drone painted. I picked up an extra Cog that is now Optimus' accessories, with one part being "roller" that is Prime's shield, the rest as extra weapons and rocket pack or anything I'd turn the parts into as needed.

Lastly, I did an "extension" to allow the trailer to be further back allowing a much needed improved turn radius. Just a small piece of plastic cut from a container for recycling, and a bamboo stick that's 5mm that was glued on place and then the whole piece painted blue. It's got two "settings" so I can choose the distance I prefer.

I might do the "crotch" part in yellow but for now, it's not a priority.

 

This has probably already been asked but can the Fans Project G3 trailer work with this Prime? If not has anyone made an adapter so it can?

 

Is ER Optimus with it? I was thinking of maybe getting him, and giving him the Siege weapons, but is he worth the price?

 

I like him with the centurion set hes like a mini masterpiece at a fraction of the cost

I don't plan on getting ER Megs (Not different enough) but I bet he will look good with Wheeljack and co!

The main thing that has stopped me from getting him his his weapons, which is an easy fix. And is legs looks a smidge too long, but other than that he looks good. If I get him I'm going to use HFTD Breacher as a roller.

I’m holding out on painting the eyes yellow till I find a second one. Just in case I mess him up. That head looks tough to get apart
