Yeah, RiD Optimus Prime and Megatron showing up in a future line would be something I'd be all over and would add to the collection even if I was to cut down on figures. They are great and weird designs which I used to hate back in the day but after too many years of Bayformers and neo-G1 I'm hungry for some crazy ass late Japanese Beast Wars designs. And yes, in a way, 'Gigatron' is definitely a late Japanese BW figure in terms of heritage. I know Car Robot isn't a Beast Era show so to speak, but you can definitely feel the same vibe and energy in it as 2nd and Neo had. That and Gigatron is a big reptilian Predacon leader (and specifically a Predacon rather than a Decepticon!), fitting alongside other dinosaur and/or dragons as was the tradition for Predacon leaders. If you're a Predacon leader, you're either a dinosaur or a dragon. Same way a classic Prime/Convoy is some type of truck.

 

I'd love to see a Transmetal Primal. Surfing Gorillas for life!

 

Well, we got a surfing version of the Super Transmetal Optimal Optimus in POTP fairly recently.

 

I don't want it to be him because that'd be three in a row all Sunbow Autobots. I'm secretly hoping for Star Saber, RID Prime or Deathsaurus. But I'm not holding my breath... Although

Honestly it's the perfect line to use for the vehicle kick if Kingdom continues. So many possibilities, Omega Prime, Brave Maximus, leader Scourge and Laser Prime. Make it so Hasbro!

Head looks a little too thin imho, but it may be the photo angle.

 

I dont mean all of them. Just some of them. And they'd fit into a generations line, im pretty sure. After all, we're always getting the same guys over and over, why not transtech? We're already doing time travel, is universe jumping really a stretch? Through in heinrad and we got some real hijinks!

Is it wrong part of me wish they all had the option for the derpy 'mutant masks'? I know they aren't show accurate but I am oddly fond of them. I wonder if we could see SELECTS redeco in the original toy colors with the mutant mask added. So Megatron would have a silver helmet and the bat wing helmet and Primal would have a full mouthplate and the weird skull mask-thingy.

A selects deluxe pack that comes with accessories again? Also, nothings been said about the blackarachnia mask yet, so maybe?

 

I\'m sure they had to reveal the figures due to Ton Ton Reviewer getting the figures way before their release date

Definintly would be pumped to see that rodimus in chug but I am pretty sure kingdom will only get through BW seasons 1 and 2 at most with all of the sunbow bots thrown in there too.

 

I don't know if there were even enough Transtech designs done to get a good year of toys out of it. And speaking for myself the only one I actually like is Depthcharge.

 

Why not? Blackarachnia had her mutant head at a deluxe budget, so the possibility is definitely there. I would love for them to have mutant heads. Even if not with Kingdom then with their later iterations down the line as now we all know... the Beastwars have begun. Seriously.

I don't get why Hasbro feels the need to include G1 characters in this line, why not keep them in Studio Series 86?

 

Because even 50% was not enough to calm down the revival of TRUKK NOT MUNKKY for the 21st century.
