soooo damn close! why is it that the only time they didn't botch the Nosecone on cyclonus is when they botched everything else?

Don't forget the horrific Herman Munster Earthrise Megatron face! That thing is truly despicable.

All three of the aforementioned sculpts seem disproportionately long. Nothing I can’t fix, but still.

Huh, I guess Apollux actually was pretty right about the dinos being actually more realistic than before, excluding potential feathers. Megatron's mostly got that scales-so-small-it-looks-like-leathery-skin texture that's generally agreed upon as what the for-sure unfeathered majority of T. Rex's body looked like (whether or not they had a "cape" of feathers), it's got more proper lips (although the upper teeth still seem like they poke out when the mouth is closed, when they should be inside the mouth), the body seems more realistically fatty/muscled and less shrinkwrapped...

The only problem is the head still looks kinda shrinkwrapped to me, but still, overall, looks pretty dang good.

    lol

Why do you keep saying "carry on" without any capitalization? Is that some weird signature thing, just not in the actual signature?

I'm getting Cheetor and Rattrap without doubt. Megatron and Cyclonus look friggin' gorgeous. I hope Megs' back kibble can be tidied up a little more, but the guy was always a pretty kibbly fellow to begin with. The core robot on the other hand, is mind blowing, can't even tell if it looks any worse than the MP version, and that thing is beautiful. I also love the coloring and all that luscious scale detail on the dino bit, and that T-Rex mode! So good! I always appreciate a Tyrannosaurus that can open its mouth nice and wide, and on that closeup of the dino mode's head I can practically hear him hissing "yeeeessssss" from between his teeth in that irresistible David Kaye voice.

Cyclonus just looks awesome. Maaaaaaaybe his face could stand to look a little more sinister, and I'm not sure if he has an ankle tilt, but otherwise he's all sorts of fantastic. I do love how he seems to have crazy range on his neck, that's one point where many of the otherwise highly posable Siege\Earthrise toys are somewhat lacking. Finally, the jet mode is beyond words, that nosecone is to die for!

Megatron looks gorgeous. Cyclonus is okay, but I've never been so interested in him. And we've already gotten plenty of Rattrap and Cheetor. Definitely picking up Megatron, and I'll think about the other 2. Let's see if we can get a full Beast Wars lineup! Or at least of the first season.

Leaks are the consequence of outsourcing cheap labor to maximize profits. And even paying assembly workers 25 cents an hour they still raise the price of deluxe scale figures by $3.00. So I really have no remorse for the leaks. If anything they are giving Hasbro free promotion. Not to sound cynical, but does Hasbro even need to pay a marketing team to do a Pulsecon if Ton Ton is doing the job for free ? Just saying...

The figures come with a Golden Disk? Their description reminds me of the character cards during POTP which described different powers for each character depending on what Prime is used.

Thank goodness, he has his claw on the left arm. Almost missed it
    upload_2020-9-23_23-24-44.png

My analysis so far has yielded some really cool and clever engineering trick:

His Dino legs can swivel forward and backward, even though the high cover hinges upwards (in Beast mode) for transformation. This is possible thanks to cleverly aligned radii / radiuses as sketched in the following diagram:

As you can see, the radius r does not change and the center of rotation is Megatron's robot thigh

    Additional images to clarify:

Hope you understand what I'm getting at. Maybe you think this is boring but I think it's incredibly awesome engineering!

The transformation is basically an upside down ultra BW Megatron.

Where the original folded up bottom to top to form the beast mode, this one folds up top to bottom like Cheetor and Rattrap. Likewise, the arms or the shoulder axis are this time below the T-rex and form his belly, as compared to the original where they resided on top and formed part of the back.

The right arm needs to be rotated such that the T-rex head looks to his right, but again, upside down. Same for the left arm. Also upside down.

The torso I have no idea how. Probably something similar to the ultra class.

The robot hips, I believe, hinge out and extend to accommodate the wider T-rex hips.

Then there's a lot of shell kibble collapsed onto the back.

    The rest is silence ;)

The only prominent dino they've done any walking-back on with regards to feathers is T. Rex, and even then it was always one of the more contentious ones. The evidence for at least the majority of bipedal dinos having feathers continues to grow.

In fact, as the assumed origin point of protofeathers seems to keep moving back in the fossil record, now to even before the formation of the dinosaur group, the consensus seems to be that at least simple protofeathers was the base condition for the whole group of dinosaurs, and any that didn't have them had the feature evolve over time into something else instead of just never having them.

Ok, done. Let's not let this sprawl out into a dumb multi-page argument.

    Cyclonus got some loose boots.

These are some nicely lit photos, but they could've easily obscured this issue with a better angle.
