Probably a more 1986 movie accurate paintjob for Earthrise Optimus.

I don't know if it works on the website, but on the Youtube app you can skip to the little space between the last ad and the end of the video. Let the last couple seconds of the video play and end naturally, then hit replay and all the ads are gone

Huh. This forum surprises me more and more these days. Go figure.

This Kup looks amazing. Blows the TR one out of the water. I am apparently in the minority in liking the face sculpt. Kup is a grizzled war vet who has seen too many battles and lost too many friends. He should look old, worn down, and just this side of pissed off. Frankly, while I haven't compared it directly to the animation model yet, it hits the mark for what I think of when I picture '86 Kup. The shoulders are also more or less accurate. They really were that low on the animation model as well, unless I'm totally misremembering (which is certainly possible).

I'm hyped. I wasn't sure he would be better than the old CHUG Kup, but he definitely is. The alt mode looks great, the bot mode is fantastic (unless the shoulder panels not tabbing in proves to be a figure problem and not a Tonton problem, then we might have an issue) and the transformation is simple but clever. He's pretty much the Kup I've always wanted.

And 3p's probably already on new heads, for those with issues. I'd probably even dip in for one that can do a good cy-gar pose. Ultimate Kup, as it were.

This line looks superb so far. Hasbro knocking it out of the park, even as SS adds to it's focus. More of this, Hasbro. To borrow a phrase from TF'86 Swoop: Good stuff Hasbro. Give Swoop good stuff.

On this part I agree. Some figures aren't photogenic at a first look. Colors don't appear to be the same inhand compared to images posted online.

Based on my post above, I also am agreeing with you. Either he ain't photogenic or yup, butt ugly. His Legends face sculpt was an immediate WOW a few years back.

The Energon goodies kinda look like gum. :lol  So that's kinda amusing.

Cybertron's equivalent of nicotine gum so Kup can get over his cygar addiction.

You'd probably be sad too if you were a bajillion years old, who's often called shitpiece by people. :C

Compared to this version, the Takara Legends version was waaaaaaaaaaaaay anime accurate compared to the Hb constipated version. This one is somewhat off or maybe as I mentioned, he just ain't too photogenic.

Im sure these aren\'t final colors.
its a tad on the thin side. But ill definitely still grab it.
These guys are looking great. I cant wait to see galvatron.
I mean the accessories the features. That nod to the movie where he got torn apart is perfect.
They are really stepping up the game on these figures.
Im really starting to regret buying only masterpiece and 3rd party.
Idk where the future of masterpice is going but it almost feels like its being phased out. I\'m sure the price will increse on these but compared to masterpiece that\'ll be nothing.
It just feels senseless to pay hundreds of dollars if you get can get somthing for a fraction of the cost, and still get better features and accessories, sure the paint quality and build is cut back but not by much. Who knows this could be short lived and these guys will be the only ones we see, but now that we know we can get this kind of quality from a main line figure I have higher hopes that all main line figures will get this treatment. Lets face it masterpiece is going down hill. They break to easily even if you\'re handling it with the most gentleness of hands, not only that there\'s problems with them right out of the box the transformations sometimes can take you a bit. Im sick and tired of spending almost a whole car payment on one figure only for it to crumble in my hands. Sorry for the rant lol

When doing size comparisons, I often wonder why people choose the wide "A" stance when doing them...to ME, that throws it off a bit.
    carry on...

Although I too prefer the LG Kup's face sculpt a bit more, this thing is amazing looking. SS86 is the line I've always wanted. I hope they do a SSBW too someday. Imagine that.

Also I'm this close to sneaking into Hasbro's offices and deleting every file they have of the movie Autobot symbol if they're gonna keep mixing it up with the normal one. I know they'll fix it on the retail toy but come on guys

Yeah, this face sculpt is horrible. Kind of reminds me of an East African mask. Especially around the eyes and the weird arch under his nose.
I almost never support 3P add-ons for main line figures so I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope some company makes a decent head to go with this body.
Wouldn't mind a replacement chest either, something with less greebles thrown all over the place.
