If he is a factory reject it would explain the head. But honestly idk I was excited when I heard about this but looking at it ehhhhhhh. Maybe in hand it will be better, if not then I’m sticking with sergeant kup and Legends Kup

He looks pretty good... bit skeletal. Not as impressive in robot mode as Hot Rod is.

 

Ugh that melted face... hopefully mistake   Otherwise it looks nice but right now TR Kup is still my favorite. Can't help but think that it's a mistake based on how awesome the other figures have looked.

 

In that case I have to disagree. He does not look mistransformed aside from the backpack and shoulder pieces not being tabbed in properly and a bit weird posing. Maybe the power abdomen can hinge back a bit more but that's it. This is what we're getting and it's a pretty damn good representation

 

The proportions on this guy are way off. The shoulders are too wide and the arms are too long. Head might be a bit big, too.

It does look very decent! Nowhere near as sexy as HR, but then again was he ever? This is a perfectly fine representation of G1 Kup (best I've seen so far other than FT's MP version which ONLY looks good and that's it. A glorified POS statue).

Alt mode is absolutely amazing, best ever.

So excited for this line! Leader Rody and Galvy!!!!

 

Hopefully someone will create a "new" version of that kit for this figure, as it definitely needs a new face.

Call me crazy but that's kind of what I like about it. Not necessarily the "sickly" part but the sculpt really captures that wiry old man energy that Nick Roche gave him. Sure, it's not really true to the 86 movie but I think the look has a lot of character to it.

 

WHAT!? The front of his chest is slightly larger than it is on the animation model!!! THAT MEANS HE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE KUP! THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST CHEATED AND USED A FAKE CHEST SOLELY SO THAT HE COULD HAVE A SLIGHT TAPER TOWARDS THE BOTTOM PART OF THE WINDHIELD!!!! THIS TOY IS COMPLETELY RUINED FOR ME BECAUSE THE PROPORTIONS OF THE VEHICLE MODE KIBBLE DON’T PERFECTLY REPLICATE THE CARTOON MODEL’S PROPORTIONS WITH 100% ACCURACY!!!!!—



—is what I would say if I were one of those super-duper-ultra 100 percent cartoon accuracy sticklers who seem to insist on the use of fake parts so that they can achieve a minuscule detail from the cartoon, but I’m not. He looks great to me, and I’m honestly half surprised that they did give Kup a real chest, since fake parts seem to be becoming more prominent in the recent toys that would not even look that bad if they used their actual vehicle mode parts, like Hot Rod and Arcee. Arcee obviously has bigger issues, but her fake chest doesn’t help. It also doesn’t even make sense, since you can see her actual vehicle mode hood right behind her head, which makes the design even more unappealing, and confusing considering they could have given it a hinge that moves it down onto her chest and into the place it should be.

 

Yeah, I really wanna see what you did to your Kup to make him look a bit better.

 

I feel like if the back can be transformed differently so that the pack is slightly elevated above the shoulders, it could look a LOT better.

Are we 100% sure the reviewer did do it the right / only way?

 

his face looks less old and more " i just lost my job"
