I mean, unless you're a fan of HeroQuest. Which people are.

I think, in general, the sneak peak about HeroQuest was actually a big deal for the future of Haslab.

First off, they're setting a monetary goal instead of a backer goal. Second, they're offering supporter tiers.

That's much closer to the traditional Kickstarter method of crowd-funding and would be a good sign going forward that Hasbro may leverage Haslab to do fuller retail releases instead of "Either back it now or miss out" projects.

So imagine a crowd-funded line of TF exclusives where I could pitch in a few bucks to help it get off the ground but cherry pick which figures I actually want once the final product is released.

I think that's interesting news if you're looking for takeaways ahead of Friday/Saturday.

Wow, way to get everyone excited Hasbro. A campaign for a product I forgot about and never had any interest in.

A sizzle reel of some of the other brands new stuff should have ended that stream.

 

Hero Quest was sort of like DnD light, and Hasbro is trying to bring it back. I have the original from the 80s, and we play it with the kids occasionally. It's great if you have children who are not old enough for ADnD yet.

Hahahaha! Watching all the whining over that video was hilarious. We all knew HeroQuest was gonna be the thing they talked about since they put up that timer. It’s a sneak peek. Relax people. They’re saving the major stuff for the weekend.

Personally, I liked it. I love fantasy games so the return of HeroQuest was something I looked forward to.

 

Then they should’ve just marketed it as a sneak peak to that instead of getting people’s hopes up of seeing other brands

 

I think I would have used this to get the jump on an upcoming 86 review

 

Fallout Boy is going to have to answer for the Target exclusives availability, lol.

 

Next Haslab is another TF though, and it’s cheaper than the beachball

 

woulda, coulda, shoulda, they didn't. What convention have you ever been to that blew their wad 2 days before the convention even started? This sneak peek was never going to be anything of substantial value. That's just management of expectations.

 

They marketed it as exactly what it was. A sneak peak at PulseCon. We got a sneak peak of something Hasbro has in the works and what’s to come at PulseCon. They weren’t going to talk about all of their properties. That negates a “sneak peak”.

 

This was not a sneak peak, this was an ad for a crowd finding product that isn't real yet. If you call something a sneak peak you have to make whatever your broadcasting worth sneaking a peak of. Like fuck TonTon's doing a better job getting me hyped than Hasbro is.

 

What a sneak peak of Pulse con sounds like is a quick overview of what we're gonna hear about the brands and maybe an early reveal of a fig. They should have just marketed it as a sneak peak of hero quest so those of us hoping for more didn't have to sit around for nothing.
