McDonald's sucks so much. Seriously. Their food is, half the time, cold or almost stale. It's disgusting, and the last few times I've been there, they've either messed up orders or even forgotten parts of them. Sometimes they'll forget that I don't want ketchup on my burger, or they'll forget to add fries or fried zucchini, or whatever my side thing is (so that's my pick).

Not a fan of any of them, but when I used to get fast food a lot the best meal was a Whopper, McDonald's fries and a Wendy's Frosty.

    What? No option for Sonic?

I remember first going to Sonic for the first time about 20 years ago and thinking it was amazing. When you come from a small town in the hills of Scotland where "fast food" means fish & chips and deep fried pizza (this is not a joke) it was a revelation to have what tasted like a proper burger and fries.

I managed to stop off at a Sonic Burger during my last trip to Dallas when I was on my back to Richardson on the train. It was awful...the burger was just a greasy mess, the fries were cold and horrible and I felt so let down after looking forward to having. Sonic Burger after such a long time.

Yeah, there are definitely much larger franchises than some in the poll. For instance, based on quick Google searches on ones I know or just found:
    McDonalds - ~38,000 (~14,000 in US)
    Burger King - ~17,000 (~7,000 in US)
    Wendy's - ~6,500 (~6,000 in US)
    Dairy Queen - ~6,500 (~5,000 in US)
    Sonics - ~3,500
Jack in the Box - ~2,000
    Five Guys - ~1,500
    Whataburger - ~800
    In-N-Out - <400
    White Castle - <400
    Cookout - ~250

Of those listed, I voted McD. But I honestly like them...just not as much as the others. I firmly believe they purposely engineered their fries to produce a synergistic effect when consumed simultaneously with Coke (the drink...not the narcotic). And, +1 on White Castle. I love them. Maybe it’s just because I’m from Ohio or something...we like not-chili on our spaghetti after all...lol...

Lousy burger? How about smashburger? They are small and overpriced and just really not very good...especially for the price.

Same for my location. Neither one of them is in most states, and the ones they are usually don't have many. From their site, the vast majority of Whataburgers are in Texas (almost 700). It's pretty much the same with In-N-Out, except the vast majority of those (>250) are in California. In fact, Texas seems to be one of the few states with any significant overlap (~40 In-N-Outs).

McDonald's. Pretty garbage in my opinion and barely qualifies as food.

Ugh, no. Subway is like the McD's of subs. If I want subs I'm going to Firehouse or Jersey Mike's. I'm not a fan of Jimmy John's either. Too small of subs for the price.

I only know three of these outlets.

McDonalds- The burgers are generally disappointing yet advertising always hypes them up to be so delicious looking. Fries are okay; they're light and the best part is they're not too oily.

Burger King (aka Hungry Jacks where I live)- The burgers have a lot of more variety and are appetising enough. Fries are hit or miss; they're thick but also really salty.

In N Out- I've tried it once when I first visited America via LA; and I honestly don't remember how everything tasted. I only remember that the burgers and fries are 'thicc'.

Well, I've never heard of in-and-out or Whataburger, but I've always enjoyed a Big Mac. That said, I live in Canada, and I've been to American McDonalds twice, maybe three times in my life, and it was horrible. Granted, that's anecdotal, and a pretty small sample to boot, but each time I remembered the taste, and it was specific to American McDonalds.

Fuck, I totally misread the poll as best and voted for McDonald's. Sorry y'all, but if I'm going to eat fast food out of those options, it's McDonald's all the way.

However, for options not on poll, I choose either Chick-Fil-A or Raising Canes.

Try Hungry Jacks (Burger King) burgers in Australia, you’ll never go back to Maccas.
