GT Tyrant always comes to mind. I gave him some red painted eyes, otherwise everything about this bot is cool from the getgo, love this Meg design even if this one is bulkier than the comic. Transformed him many times over the years but he's still as good as ever. Stealth_megs.jpg

I hope to get him someday. 3 years of waiting, but I'm willing to wait some more.
If it turns out as good as I hope it does, TransCraft's Optimus Prime will take the spot.

I'm feeling pretty confident about these two as well, I just want to "live with" the figure for a time before it can take a place amongst the pantheon. I share your high hopes but we really don't know anything about TC's Prime given that even their Bee may ultimately fail if there are QC issues not withstanding its stunning appearance. But I'm fairly sure they'll be great, I'm onboard for those. What figure that you have had for a while would you choose?

Totally agree with Quietus and Roadking.
Sovereign is a fantastic figure and undeniably Galvatron but even when released 4/5 years ago I could see TT or even FT improving on it.
I would stick FT Dracula up there with Quietus and Roadking.

Ismenios, hands down. While not mind blowing in most areas, it is still an overall fantastic figure.

Ah, that does look really impressive! Whilst I'm not familiar with him myself, I understand he gets a lot of love from those that have him.

Are officially licensed 3P toys allowed?

    If so, KuroKaraKuri Star Saber
If not, I have a soft spot for MMCs Hearts of Steel Seekers.

    runners up
    ft phoenix

Absolutely stunning presence. I'd rank him higher if he had more range on his waist.

    it megatron
What stands out most to me is the expressiveness of this figure from the articulation to the wide array of facial expressions and weapons. His alt mode sucks balls as with all g1 megatrons but his bot mode makes up for it.I ended up selling it though just bec. it wasnt right for me.

    9. lt ko striker manus
My favorite deskbot bec. of his insane poseability. A little kiki fluid to fix up those loose joints and this figure was golden. The extra weapons greatly adds to its expressiveness as a figure.

    8. mmc overlord carnifex
absolutely stunning figure with an almost unbeatable head sculpt. the expressiveness and likeness of idw overlord is definitely there.

    7. maketoys meteor
Probably the one I like most to pose and play with. Excellent articulation and sturdy joints...it's a shame he doesnt have a better face.

    6. megadoragon
What a stand out figure. I have this weird obsession with transformers beasts and dragons and i absolutely love his dragon mode. His bot mode is even better. Those wings and that dragon head arm cannon. Cant say enough good things about this figure and it would probably rank higher if it wasn't for my bias of the dinobots.

    5. gigapower dinos( guttur, grassor, graviter and swoop)
fanstoys is better. fanstoys is better. fanstoys is......i dont need another set of dino.....i couldnt resist the gigapower dinos. I absolutely love them especially guttur. The simple transformation, stunning presence and playability (except for grassor) makes them a must have.

    4. gigapower superator
I love grimlock and that ab crunch just takes this figure to another level. He also has the best g1 style dino alt mode. The only reason why i dont rank him higher is my bias for the g1 toon look and that neck collar bugs me a bit.

    3.5 planet x vulcan
I absolutely love the alt mode even after two years of looking at it. His alt mode is definitely in the top 2 for me and the bot mode is excellent as well. Definitely a great representation of my favorite version of grimlock.

    3. fans toys dinobots (sever, stomp, scoria, soar)
Just posing these figures brings back a lot of memories watching g1. The shelf presence is second to none. The sturdy joints and die cast metal gives you that feeling of quality that I dont think Takara is capable of anymore. If takra decides to launch an mp dinobots line, I'd still be keeping my ft dinos. I'd go hungry again just to get them back if i lost them lol.

    2. JX jiang xing metal beast winged dragon-

Jiang xing's debut and it's so freaking awesome!!! Ratchet joints on the right places and that shelf presence! I normally dont buy doubles of any figure but I had to with this one because both modes are so awesome. The bot mode has the best shelf presence and articulation that I've seen from any transformer be it official/ unofficial/transforming or non transforming. This bot has ball jointed ankles and toes that can spread out and hinge with the kind of balance and stability that cant be found elsewhere. Planet x vulcun used to have the best alt mode for me but this easily wipes the floor with vulcun or any other transformer. The articulation and shelf presence of that dragon mode is pure freaking bliss. I have never been a fan of beast wars or any of their bots. Nor have I watched a single episode of beast wars or beast machines. I know nothing about this megatron apart from the fact that he's evil. I've been a g1 fan through and through but this one is just jawdropping. I can't say enough good things about it. This figure easily takes the number 1 spot by a country mile...if it weren't for my bias for Grimlock.

    1. fans toys grinder

I absolutely love this figure and it is my favorite of the bunch probabaly because it reminds me so much of my childhood. I prefer his bot mode shape and proportions over the gigas that's why i have him in the top spot. Grinder's simple transformation, sturdy joints and excellent poseability make him an excellent deskbot. His ridiculously high front kick practically eliminates the need for an ab crunch and surprise surprise he can do the iron man pose. That gold chrome torso also helps him stand out on a shelf full of action figures. It is definitely the toy that I've waited more than two decades for.

This is the first photo of Roadking that made the paint apparent to me. All other pictures make him look a bit bland, but this is just right.

gotta say i'm surprised its still TE-01 for me. I thought his maddening lack of thigh swivel would kill it for me but he poses well enough and looks like the prime of youth moreso than any other version. Is he perfect? nah. takara's mp-44 while is bad in some ways does nail a few things that te-01 missed, namely articulation and a few pieces that are more masterfully sculpted. that being said that being said though TE-01 still reigns supreme as one can't help but feel the essence of prime looking at and handling him. and prime IS the franchise to me.

quakewave would be a sentimental pick....kinda got the whole 3p mp thing rolling and is special to me for that reason.

The XTB Stunticons (gravestone and flipout expecially) are really high up on the list as well as FT dibots (all of them!).

Yeah, would have kept the series if they gave me hardhead and Apeface. I can't keep a series when I know it just won't be completed. It is a pity!

Fans Toys Grinder...Grimlock was my favorite TF as a kid, so much so that I still have mine stashed away safely in a box along with all the other surviving TFs of my youth. Every time I walk by my collection, he jumps out at me and I can't help but grin at the idea of 8 years old me having something like that guy. :D
