I'm in need of an SS Lockdown. I wish I knew someone who's interested in trading for a deluxe figure or buying it I guess

Right after Optimus defeated Sentinel Prime...

Ratchet: You fought bravely Bumblebee.

Bumblebee: *Affirmative beep*

*Arrays of missiles suddenly came and struck down Sideswipe*

Blitzwing: Did you think it is all over?

Shatter: Now that Megatron is gone, it is our turn to rule!

Unknown: Not if I have anything to say.

*Lockdown showed up and blasted Dropkick, then a giant ship appeared in the sky*

Lockdown: Sentinel Prime has ordered us to exterminate you all if the plan has failed.

And thus the three sided war begins...

 

What an achievement. He is not perfect but damn....he is amazing.

 

What's the QC like on this guy? I remember really liking Ransack but I also remember his arms would almost always pop off when I transformed him

 

Shout-out to the people who manages to make a lot of these figures damn near 100% screen accurate. I really wish there was a way for us to see how they're constructed on the factory line.

Great figure, Blackout is. Fantasic size too, giant and towering like in the film unlike the Voyager.

 

Hasbro did good by making Blackout part of SS opening wave. Shows us what they can do and sets the standard for the line.
I remember being very impressed seeing him in person, playing with him still feels surreal at times.


Anyone else think the new Fossilizers look good as army building filler? They certainly aren't blocky, and the skeleton look reminds me of the Dinobots. I think a dark paint job and you can pass them off as Decepticon protoforms too.

I'd rather they retool from another figure if they're gonna do decepticon protoforms or do an original mold, since this guy is already a retool.

I use krylon high shine silver for spraying, since it's quick-drying. This guy was dry to the touch within 10 minutes! Then I use gundam markers and panel liners for everything else. It's just so easy and quick (since they're alcohol-based they are also quick-drying). I need to find a good top-coat spray for him though since I always forget that sort of thing. I guess I always have it in my head that I might want to go back and add extra details later but I really shouldn't anyways.

Blitzwing is cool for sure, but I guess I looked at pics of him for so long that I kinda already knew what to expect? Plus the shoulders untab constantly. He's still super cool though but I just feel like there isn't that much I can do with him.

And yeah, tell me if this makes sense, but the appeal of "the hunt" is getting the figure, and once I physically have it in my possession I relax a lot. But this only happens when I either get multiple figures at once (then I open one right away and save the rest for later) or if I'm still riding high on having a newer recent one.

Cool thanks for the input. I'm going with a combo of both: head collapsed down into the torso but with the legs extended out in the back a bit more like you said. I think the only thing I'd want to improve on this figure is making the solar panels bigger. They were HUGE in the movie. If they had made them twice as big but with a hinge in the middle that would have been better. And it would be cool if the arms transformed a bit more or were hidden more in satellite mode. Other than that I'm still loving this figure after I painted it.

Thanks! Didn't the original have a jet mode as well? I figured this one should too. And starships don't have to be perfectly aerodynamic or anything. Plus I noticed after watching clips of him from rotf that when he floats around he sort of collapses his "wings", and it made me think of other modes he could have.

 

Don't you dare make me want SS Soundwave with your custom paint jobs and cool fan modes.

 

TF5: How Nemesis should have turned back to Optimus

In the long battle between Bumblebee and Nemesis Prime, Nemesis knocked down Bumblebee, and pointed his sword at Bee’s face! Cade Yeager rushed in and attempted to help!

Cade: Prime, stop! You can’t do this! Don’t you recognize us?

*Nemesis Prime points the sword at both human and the yellow autobot.*

Nemesis Prime: Stand down and surrender! Interfere with Quintessa’s plan if you wish to be executed!

Bumblebee: I am Bumblebee, your friend! Prime...I will lay my life for you!

Nemesis: Bumble...bee...you....have to know...

*Nemesis hesistated for a brief moment and then proceed to prepare the fatal blow against Bee!*

Nemesis: Cybertron, our planet...MUST survive!

Bumblebee: Get down, Cade!

*Bumblebee used the moment to sweep Nemesis’ legs and blasted his right shoulder to save himself and Cade from Nemesis’ attack! After moments of dodging and blasting against Nemesis, Bumblebee was ready to fight on his toes again while Cade was standing behind him.*

*Just as the two were ready to made their move against each other, Megatron and Nitro ambushed them from sky above, and immobilized both Autobots. Megatron picked up Nemesis' sword, and used it to pin Nemesis Prime down!*

Nitro Zeus: Time’s up Prime! We will take over from here!

Megatron: (Forcefully took Merlin's staff from Nemesis) You will ALWAYS be the traitor, Prime!

Nemesis: MY STAFF!

Megatron: (Hit Nemesis in the face with the staff) YOU DESERVE NO REDEMPTION! Now you will perish along with Earth!

Nitro Zeus: We will let them knights take care of ya! Buh bui! Ehh heh heh heh!

*Megatron and Nitro turned into their jet forms and departed from the scene, they did not know the staff has removed Quintessa's curse from Nemesis Prime. Therefore turning Nemesis back into Optimus.*

*Optimus woke up and saw Bumblebee struggling to get up with help from Cade Yeager and Colonel Lennox.*

Optimus: Bumblebee...What...Have I...Done...

Knight: You betrayed your own kind...

I gotta say Bumblebee's voice restoring Optimus' memory in the film is the moment ruined it for me. It is one of my least favorite parts from TF5 since Bumblebee has already spoken to Optimus with his voice in TF1. (Unless of course TF1 Bee’s voice was still damaged and distorted at the time and thus no impacts at all.)

 

Don't have him myself but pretty much every reviewer has mentioned this as a problem. Forgot who said it but it's because the neck was designed to sit flush with Offroad Bumblebee's head, and since Cliffjumper's head is shaped differently it doesn't sit flush.

Definitely the first one.
