If I was collecting the Seige line, I would get these for "true" G1 representation. I feel the MP line is doing that now, though. These are badass.

Yeah, I ordered Megatron to test the waters, but I expect this line to be done inside of three or four waves (or a fifth "wave" of one figure plus repacks).

    My guesses for character selection:

    Wave 3
    Starscream (G1)
    Optimus Prime (Bayformers)
    Tigatron (BW)

    Wave 4
    Devastator (G1)
    Arcee (G1)
    Bumblebee (Bayformers)

    "Wave" 5
    Bumblebee (G1)
    Cheetor (BW - repack)
    Optimus Prime (Bayformers - repack)

Yeah, seeing how that Optimus turned out, despite loving the idea of a 6-inch non-transforming line, I give it a year to live if they don't make it widely available and put more effort into it.

I’ll have to look at these up close. Any SKU available?

Brickseek, though I don't know how useful it is these days.

A lot of people didn't notice!

EANs are barcodes just like UPCs, the main differences are that EANs are usually used in Europe ("European Article Number"), have thirteen instead of twelve digits, and the first seven digits of a modern Hasbro EAN are 5010993, while the first six digits of a modern Hasbro UPC are 630509.

Hasbro has been using EANs for European packaging for years, while non-European packaging had UPCs. Now that Hasbro has completely standardized Transformers packaging worldwide, UPCs have been mostly abandoned in favor of EANs.

Still a pass for me. Too many other TF releases.

Hasbro should have revived Action Masters instead of YET ANOTHER OPTIMUS RELEASE. :rolleyes2  :rolleyes2  :rolleyes2

Action Masters would have been nostalgic for a lot of people. These... Are a weird crossbreed with ML toys... But without the fun crossover mishmash.

My Transforners collection is MP centric, so I technically don't need these. However, that Megatron looks cool.

Really don't get the hate for these - maybe that's just me, but six-inch cartoon-accurate Megatron and Soundwave harassing my '84 G1 Prime atop one of my display units? Sold. (And if a Starscream etc. down the line happens to work well with a nice flight stand, so much the better.) :D

Looks like all 3 are there in Walmart in Palm Springs, California if I'm reading right.

Have RED Soundwave in-hand and I'm going to risk hyperbole and call these dog toys. Sure they articulate, sure they look the part, but even if they didn't move the squeaky version of this toy hanging at PetSmart would look just as good. The plastic is cheap, shows discoloration due to nicks/abrasions easily, the accessories look the part but don't enhance the look much and... forgive me because I realize this argument is old news... a TF that doesn't transform and for the same cost as one that does is about as useful as a screen door on a battleship.

Can someone please confirm the UPC's by taking a photo?

As someone who collects Soundwaves, is he at least passable? I only want sound wave and as long as he is a decent looking representation of him Ill be happy.

Why "confirm"? We already have them all.
UPC/EAN barcode list for modern Transformers toys
    Optimus Prime: 5010993729005
    Megatron: 5010993729029
    Soundwave: 5010993729012

(Also, these are EANs, not UPCs.)

Saw these in person today and oof, they’re kinda rough looking. Def not for me.

I love me some Soundwave but this one is a real dog.

Saw them in person. Kinda like the toys toddlers like when they are being showered.

Easiest of passes in the history of passes.
