Curious what the price tag will be. Was going to get blitzwing, but leaning towards this now as lets face it Starscream or blitzwing is an easy choice......well at least for me!!!!

 

Anyone heard anything on this?

 

The only possible hint I can find is that the prototype shared a display case shelf with Civil Warriors CW-01 General Grant at one of the Chinese shows. Oscar Fung took a few shots of the prototype. These shots are visible on the Show Z listing page. One shows CW-01 standing next to this Starscream. This doesn't necessarily mean that they are related but it is possible.

To be honest I don't think they should have approved the Aircraft mode for the Bumblebee Movie - in fairness it's just not good enough.

The robot mode is nice though.

 

All I ask is that the robot mode looks and feels great. Jet mode should not be a big thing since we barely see them in the film proper.

 

I think the robot mode looks pretty good although hard to compare to movie as we saw the aircraft mode for like .02 seconds.

 

according to the Showzstore listing this figure is supposed to be diecast/ABS with 3A style painting apps so it should feel similar in hand to 3A Blitzwing!

 

I'm not so much complaining about it's accuracy as I am saying - I think they could have done a better job on a jet mode. Especially on the nosecode area. It's not exactly that it's a baddesign - so much as the hollow part in the nose (both CGI & toy) looks awkward and the excessively long lower spine-tail is a bit over the top in the sheer size.

The whole thing reminds me a bit to much of the D-4 from Star Trek into Darkness.In terms of it being an OK design for what it is - it's just perhaps not quite right for the situation perhaps. I'm not suggesting it's quite Star Trek Discovery Klingon vessel levels of wacky - so much as for me it's not evoking either a Tetrajet or a seeker as much as it could (even inside of the Movie style).

Things can look darn right wacky and still have something going for them like 2007 & 2009 Megatron's modes or Movie Shockwave. I just think it needs another 10 or 20% of fiddling around to make it 'good'.

I would be interested to see someone take a crack at a Blitzwing with an actual F-4 alt mode though.

 

Closest to an actual F-4 is Zeta's Blitzwing figure.

 

True, thought his wings look a little strange, I may consider that one though.

According to their Weibo, Starscream is now in prototype and color testing stage. They are going to announce a heavy weigh character next week.

 

Holy shit that looks amazing. The paintwork on him is nuts!!

 

Wow, the face paint on that is downright immaculate. Love how this looks, I might have to get this if the plastic quality is good.

 

If Knight Orion is gone, I know which figure to get now ( I don’t have money to buy multiple MPM styled figure )
