Yes, this is a very shellformer-y mold.

I wouldnt mind at all if hasbro starts re-doing figures for ss. Its kind of a shame that a g1 figure is one of the best SS figures. Hasbro could also up their paint game for bayverse figures. A bigger Optimus and Ratchet also come to mind for re-dos.

 

Leadfoot is in the mail and should arrive tomorrow, then I gotta find me a topspin at some point although I'm not stressing about him much. Then I'll have the whole wave except skipjack! I probably won't get a skipjack but you never know if I'll be bored one day haha! I really am enjoying Soundwave. Plus he came just in time for me to spray paint him then take him with me on my weekend trip. What are you missing still?

I find Rampage to be a fun desk toy because he's simple to transform and quite big and easy to handle. So keep one as the Devy leg while the other one is free to mess around with haha

 

Yeah I totally would do that except I already have two rampages (one is non-transformable) so I'd feel weird spending another $30 on him. Might get him if there's a sale later this year, since I usually only get repaints later on if I find a good deal (original molds I usually try to get asap haha).

 

I'm still waiting for my Leadfoot from a friend. Skipjack I can live without.

 

Yeah my Leadfoot is on route from the states. Wasn't going to chance it that TRU actually gets them. If I see Skipjack on sale I'll pick up up, the yellow does look better on Devy from the pictures I've seen. My Topspin is at A3U, but I ordered with Blitzwing, who hasn't arrived yet, so still waiting on that.

So with 86 joining studio series i have wondered why isn't there any concept designs? I mean there's a lot and i mean a lot of designs that didn't appear in the movies but where some great concept for toys. As a kid that grew up with them first 3 movie toy lines i didn't care what figure i got because there where a lot of choices and i miss that... I didn't enjoy aoe,tlk toy lines non of them figures where good or exciting.

I wish hasbro could do that... But again it may not?

 

My updated MPM Decepticon collection. Starscream looks really good with them all. Still need to get Newage Soundwave and Peru Kill.

 

Some more Soundwave. Funny that I enjoy the robot mode a lot more than I thought I would. Satellite mode is about as fun as I expected. So easy to transform. I wish they had put more effort into the arms if anything, and the solar panels should have been twice the size (maybe the could have folded in half?). Still having fun with this thing and I’m really glad I painted him immediately.

 

I haven't taken him outta the package yet but I'm still amazed by how big of a figure he is for a deluxe class toy

Thank you! It was only an hour of work or so, and it's a fun figure to paint because you can't really mess up. If doing a G1 paint job is your thing then just spray dark blue instead and cover with gold and silver accents. If RotF is the way you wanna go then spray silver and cover with light metallic blue and whatever else you wanna add! I am actually enjoying this figure a lot. He's more fun than cliffjumper and I feel like Blitzwing is cool for sure but sort of less exciting than I'd hoped. I'm excited to get leadfoot tomorrow, though I may not actually open him for a couple more days. And I ordered Topspin on amazon but he won't arrive til next week which will give me plenty of time to enjoy soundwave and leadfoot.

 

So Target has an extra 5% off this week with their Circle app, which I use. There's also the 5% off with the RedCard, and I had two $10 gift cards I was hording. Then I saw MPM Starscream there again.

So long story short, I effectively got him for about $115. Plus I have a couple of things to return to Target for about $40 back, so I would have been a fool not to buy him, right?

I'm trying not to have buyer's remorse, but I haven't transformed him yet, so I imagine that will help.

 

Today I completed the Wreckers with Topspin.


I had low expectations on him, but he's not as bad as I thought. Still hate the rubbery parts, but other than that, he's not too shabby.

Still my least favorite of the three because of his rubbery weapons. Leadfoot being my favorite while Roadbuster a close second.
