I don't hate it, but there's definitely a bit of "half baked"ness to everyone who isn't Optimus, Shatter Dropkick, Blitzyboi and Bee. It seems like every one of them was literally just slapped together using a G1 model and then a Bay filter.

 

Well you’re not totally wrong. Cause they had to use those exact models to make all the cybertron characters. As you can tell, Soundwave and Shockwave have some of the exact same parts as Optimus.

To me it’s not lazy, more an extremely telling sign of the conditions and changes done to this film project.

 

To me that 5 minute Cyberverse scene shoehorned into the Bumblebee movie looked almost IDWish. It did not match the Bayverse aesthetic of the characters on earth one bit. If they had told told me that was a clip from a video game, I eould have believed them.

Website says october. Most likely end of october. That is if you ordered direct from them. If you ordered from another retailer and it is anything like Bumblebee, Blitzwing, Prime or ant of the previous premium sale figures, it will likely be an additional few months.

I've had prime and Blitzwing for over 6 months and some domestic retailers are only just now getting their stock.

 

I got my Prime and Blitzwing months ago from domestic retailers.

 

It doesn't help that the CGI in the entire movie overall was poor. I can't fault them for trying, but the designs definitely suffered from what I think was blatant fan service. They easily could have just nailed a couple of characters and only focused on those instead of going quantity over quality and shoving in so many.

I also have a personal issue with so many main characters being present at one specific point on a battlefield while the entire planet is at war. Imagine every countries leaders + their top generals brawling in a street somewhere.

 

Maybe the majority of the Autobot army falling back to Iacon made it possible for the Decepticon troops to surround them and then all of the leaders would’ve been in close proximity to the tower trike in the scene. Or maybe some of the characters aren’t as high ranking as in previous media and there are other battles with just as important leaders in them (Thunderclash maybe?).

 

Well TBH, all of them are troops except for Prime. Its a resistance force so its going to be a small group that sticks together.

Man this thing is taking TOO LONG.

 

And even Blitzwing was just a seeker rather than... well, Blitzwing.

But I do agree, even though I think the designs are overall a step in the right direction they could still very much improve. I don't like how big Shockwave's head is, how it's proportioned and his dinky arm cannon. But still he's an improvement over DOTM Shockwave.

 

Just got an email saying this will be shipped out at the end of the month. We'll see if that's true but at least it's coming up.

 

Got the same email. Can't wait for it to ship. Really wish they would do another Deception from the G1 scene. Surprised they haven't done Starscream yet.

 

Honestly surprised we have seen a Starscream yet either as he would be a easy retool from Blitzwing.

Glad to finally get some news on Soundwave though, got a spot on the shelf that crying out for him

 

Got a FedEx notification for a package from DG Fenglain Industrial. Does anyone know if this is from Threezero? Never ordered directly from them before.

 

Hopefully this is on its way to various retailers as well.
