I did the same thing to MS-01, and will likely do it to MS-01X next, as I think it looks better than the sticker.



It even matches the Earthrise Prime windshield now!



Its all held in with clear tape on the back of the windows.

Go to windowtint.com and you get three free samples. I believe the one I wound up using was the premium reflective 5% tint.

 

Those windows look fantastic, I almost wish I had a V2 so I could add my own tint. The V3 window colour is just ok.

 

Wow that seems to be one of the the worst QC. It proves why it's always better to pack TF figures in alt modes. If there's any problem, they often show up in alt mode or not be able to transform properly.

Same here. I contacted them for the matrix, then this issue showed up.
I didn't know if it's my fault, but literally I just transformed it only 1 time into truck mode then I realized that.

Nope not your fault. Also, my right hand just fell apart. The back of the hand with the fingers is glide to the palm of the hand with the thumb. Either the glue broke, or they forgot the glue. Not a big deal. Some super glue will take care of it.

I will admit, in truck mode, this one lines up slightly better than my V2. Probably because the transformation joints are tighter. I've gone back and forth between modes a few times on my V2.

Yes, @transformer_78 has really stuck his neck out for the community.

I mean, which Prime is the best between TE-01 and MP-44 was a hard question. It was really neck and neck, until TE-01 got this upgrade.

You have to wonder, what does @transformer_78 have planned neck-st?

We sure could use more people like him in our neck of the woods.

I mean I know he was up to his neck in requests for this upgrade!

Ha great post. So I installed a neck adaptor but could no longer get the head part transformed flush. A) the antenna round base caps couldn't past 2 nubs on the sides smoothly. On the attempt I got it through, there was some small marks left on my antenna, but even then I couldn't close the red flap over the head properly.

In the end I just reversed the process and unscrewed the head.

Am I doing wrong or it's not meant to transform with the neck extension?

No it will absolutely transform with the neck extension. I have it on both my TE-01 figures, and they both happen to be in alt mode right now.

Even without the neck extension, you have to kinda squeeze the head between those tabs. It sucks, and yes I've considered just taking the head off when I go to alt mode. No one would know but me.

If the top flap won't go down all the way, though, my guess is your head was installed backwards. Take the head off and look down the neck. the screw holding the neck on should be closer to the rear, not the front. If it's at the front, rotate the neck 180, and reinstall.

Thanks guys, yes actually it was Mr Pezleys one but Mr Orange's suggestion solved it - turns out head was wrong way round indeed, oops. I guess it came out of the box/factory installed the wrong way and I copied the orientation when I installed the neck. I just didn't register when reading it vaguely in previous posts. All looking fabulous now!

Yeap. There were hardly any qc issues from the first few runs from what I read here. Maybe a change of factory? No one knows.

mine just arrived from showz. only issue i can find before having time to transform it is neck backwards, but i installed the upgraded 1 anyway so no big deal. no missing parts, no breaks.
