Interesting how the reaction to this is much more rapturous than say ER Cliffjumper -a good toy for a higher price point than normal and with lots of accessories

It almost feels like they put more work into this than they did with the m28. Granted that these two are like four/five years apart. But its almost making me want to replace my mp. The only thing stopping me is the the quality. Idk I\'ll probably get this too I\'m a sucker for Hotrod.

There was a lot of praise for Cliffjumper as well, especially with how surprisingly complex his design was for such a small figure. But the positives were greatly offset by the blind rage due to "partsforming".

That's weird that y'all have a price difference in the lines, $19.99 for deluxes across the board here (unless you buy from somewhere that marks up the price)

Exaggeration, perhaps, but there were a lot of users who wouldn't even bother to give the figure a look because of that.

Everyone has their own collecting preferences.

Some hate parts-forming, others hate faux parts, and don't get me started on pants-forming. :lol

There's no reason why folks can't voice their displeasure of a figure as much as others that love a figure do without getting berated for it. :)

Looks like I’ll keep MP40 as my S3 Hot Rod, but MP28 could be departing for this.

Ok seeing some hate for size vs. price point. I THINK some of us are forgetting how many people rush out to buy ad-on kits for figures because we feel they’re “lacking accessories.” And what do we pay for those sets? Sometimes quite a bit. So here is Hasbro, selling a deluxe-ish figure with a pretty solid accessory kit for about voyager price. Seems fair. But don’t worry, Dr Wu will sell an additional fishing rod accessory for an extra $15 for anyone who thinks this set isn’t complete enough.

Didn't you get the memo? If you don't like the same toy as everyone else, you're a "douchebag" and must be put on ignore, instantly.

Honestly, my ignore list has a few folks on it that are not only of that mindset, but then complain themselves about other things just as much.

If you're not open to other folks having differing opinions than you (not you of course ;)  ) have, and just treat them like crap, then you're not worth me even seeing your posts.

It's funny, people have often defended both Takara's and Fanstoys's less-than-stellar attempts at MP Hot Rod with the argument that it's just impossible to match the animation of the 86 cast designs without massive compromises in terms of aesthetic and/or transformation. But this figure seems to show that, for Hot Rod at least, that excuse is total bunk.

Well, arguably, this figure compromises towards the transformation end of the scale, so the statement isn't exactly untrue.

Toyhax will probably do a label set that includes a cover up sticker for that yellow.

It might be easy to miss, since it's generally not pulled off in one smooth motion like it is in the animation, but MP-09 does the shoulder-swap transformation.

    Me being one.
And there's nothing wrong with that. Every person has different parameters for their collection.

I myself am more or less passing on mainline mini-bots and instead getting them in what others would call MP scale; but to me they are simply larger and nicer with no adherence to scale. Only look.
