All these problems with the joints... I hope they have learned how to make good ratchets by the time they start to make Defensor...

Bobby always manages to get the worst copy but his conclusions "stay true for every copy." ..

I don't know... I hope not, because the pantsformer crowd will make this to look like it is the fault of the all built in "gimmick" rather than MMC not knowing how to make good ratchet joints.

While I'm of the pantsformer crowd, I can recognize that good joints are the make or break here.

Nice to know, But most of them think that huge fake pieces are a MUST, when it's not necessarily true.

Honestly all they need to do next time is to make stronger teeth across their joints, and get better springs/ tighter spaces. It’s a super easy thing to improve upon. I just really hope they do something constructive with this criticism.

Given the history of 3P, this appears to be a dubious proposition

Especially with regard to combiner ratchets, there is a definite whiff of “good enough, they’ll take what they can get” vibes, but I’ll try to be hopeful

I mean. We can keep buying them cause it’s an easy fix. But even if they won’t fix it for us, at least let us be able to fix it easier.

Less pin damage is all I’m saying, whatever it takes. Either stop the need for customising, or allow easier customising.

It could be done, TFC ratchets are quite strong, in fact, Poseidon has stronger ratchets than Assaultus, at least in the pelvis.

And he's a horrifically un-fun toy to handle as a result.

Mine was exactly as bad until I started padding the springs as suggested by folks like @Phamduc and @Jarrod. Now he holds pretty well, although I still want to eventually get higher gauge springs for his hips.

Agreed. I really hope they include some better hardware with any re-issues of Incursus and give current owners a chance to get those parts. We should not have to take these guys apart and trial-and-error-fiddle with tiny pieces of cardboard and reassembly until we get to a bot which holds stances decently. I absolutely love what MMC is going for with this set, but the weak hip and knee ratchets have definitely soured my experience.

@hardreturn @LazyAza do you think these are more isolated issues and it's worth contacting MMC to see if they can help?

Sixo said similar things, so no, also it's not limited to these two, plenty of people have said that the hip and knee ratchets could be stronger.

I've been lucky then as mine has none of the stability problems bobby has in the video, could the ratchets be stronger? Yeah always could be and I'll take replacement parts if they become available as a high kick pose would be great but he holds a pose as he is no balance issues at all, looks great and unlike alot of the other MP figures in my collection this set is full of endless play, so much fun to transform into all their modes.
