Magnaboss was pretty cool in the IDW BW comics. Would, love a great chug figure of him.

 

Magnaboss's situation makes me so sad. I got him as a gift from my grandparents when I was a kid, and I desperately want to own him again, but the only two versions of the mold are both plagued by gold plastic syndrome, essentially meaning the figure is lost to time unless it gets reissued.

Oh Hastak, why can't you give us BW reissues?

But barring (or in addition to, because if G1 doesn't have to choose between updates and reissues, why should BW?) an unlikely reissue, I'd definitely take a new updated mold in a heartbeat.

 

I'm surprised in the leaked listings that Tarantulas isn't listed, even though he was the secondary antagonist of the show. That being said, his Transmetal form is by far the better design compared to his S1 desugb, and the one most fiction adapts or does a riff of. If they do end up doing him, i'd like for him to be his Transmetal design rather than a retool of Blackarachnia.

I hope for Selects they do a "Dark Designs" Rhinox redeco. He was hilariously sinister that episode.

Keeping in mind that the leaked list doesn't include retailer exclusives and sublines, I'd also like to see:
-Dinobot redeco'd as Beast Wars Grimlock with a new head (based on "The Gathering").
- A 2 pack of "Starscream's Ghost" (clear redeco of ER Starscream) and a metallically painted Waspinator with Decepticon logos

 

Yeah that toy head was super impressive. I know he's a cool character and all but they'd have to give me that toy head for me to bite. I hope they do for any repaints.

 

You know what I would love to get? Considering we are getting 86 movie characters in both WFC and SS I would love it if one of the upcoming core class figures was a transforming Exosuit Spike/Daniel. The only option for that currently available is in the MP line and that figure isn't much more complicate than a typical Legends Class figure, so it would be awesome to get a mainline version. It's really one of the few holes in a Generations movie collection at this point

 

I don't think it's a huge stretch if they expand BW after Kingdom.

Takara is going to want to get characters from it's shows out there, and since many of those are based on non-show toys in the US you could see Diver and Slapper in toy form.

Question would be if HadTak split again with one doing retail toys based on US retail BW and the other doing toys based in BWII/Neo.

I think they'll do an *accurate* Lioconvoy. Even if it'll still end up being Tigatron with a heavily retooled upper body.

Because I think you can easily sell Lioconvoy at US retail as "Leo Prime" especially alongside BWII Galvatron.

To US customers, it'll look like Optimus got a new beast mode, and G1 Galvatron will have just been in Kingdom.

Easy peasy.

 

Well there WAS the Universe Leo Prime, which was Cybertron Leobreaker in proper Prime colors, rather than the Lio Convoy colors. I could see that being released with the Tigatron mold

If "Leo Prime" is the name for a big cat in Optimus colors, they can absolutely use it for an adaptation of BWII Lioconvoy.

 

They also released the Leo Prime retool in proper Lio Convoy colors as a Target exclusive. So there's some precedent for them to make the character state side as a big cat retool. We could easily get a Selects version that homages Leo Prime from Tigatron.

True enough. The name Leo Prime wouldn't really fit if he didn't have a mane.

 

Studio Series Hot Rod coming with the matrix, and a blast effect for it, kinda throws a wrench into my reasoning for believing Rodimus is the commander. @Apollux can you say if Rodimus is is also coming with a matrix blast effect or was what you had seen intended for the SS Hor Rod?

 

Insecticon was a toy only character right? I'd like to get them since its the only bw toy I got left

 

I think in a rare case of generosity from Hasbro Rodimus will also come with Matrix and matrix effect piece.

We'll see though, always time for it to have been cut since the images I saw.
