I know most people seem to like to spread their figures out to display each one, but to me, it's all about the team/group shots. I just had a rejig of my detolfs, as it had always bugged me that my B-list Autobots ('84-'86) firstly, couldn't all fit in the same alcove, and secondly, were mostly short-arses, so there was a lot of empty space above them... but then I had an idea... I had a couple of unused acrylic risers from my miniature car displays and the bottom shelf of the cupcake stand from my wedding... put them together, and they make an excellent hanging shelf. Plenty of room for everyone now, even if a handful of the taller figures have to crouch a bit.

And I know to some, this is sacrilege... 34 figures in one alcove... but I love it.

 

I got some Toyhax backgrounds from my girlfriend a while ago, adds a little detail to the shelf

I also bought myself fext hobby sci-fi sets

Originally planned to keep them separate but ended up combining the sets into a big photo station for when I'm playing about with my figures.

 

My second back display is now ready.
It has two different points of connection for the shelf and the TF symbol.
I had to add a little base and two supports to give more stability and now it can hold MPM cars and bots with no problem on both places.

The old Displays also still Work quite good!

I am happy with the results at the Moment. Now I want to add some pieces on the sides to give more tridimensional effect to the display. My collection is also slowly growing so I'll have to work on the third shelf soon. Can't wait!!!

 

Did some slight rearranging today to give a place to the newly completed assaultus, think the rest needs a clean up at some point, especially my kids legend figures at the bottom(they just tossed them all in in a big pile haha)

 

At long last I finally have my display set up properly. Now to fill some holes of missing characters.

Got the whole thing done and only then remembered all the combiners. I was going to spread them out between fort max and Scorponok but it’ll just look cramped and and an ugly cluttered mess. still need to figure something out for them.

Thanks, there's always something to improve. More backgrounds, and lighting is essential to make it premium.

That's the TF Dream Factory Steelclaw. It's really great, both Bot and Altmode look very accurate and MPM-ish  
Mine Is the one with the camou repaint, I like it better even if less Screen accurate

 

My plan was just G1 plus some favourites (largely a few Target 2006 & movie characters, plus a couple of figures I liked first time around), but my big issue is my desire to limit them to two shelves, like a few on here.

The Decepticons will probably make it (just Starscream, Dirge, insections and two more Ocular Max versions of the tapes), but that Autobot lineup's going to struggle with Apache and Phoenix (assuming either get reissued) squeezed in, even before the rest of the missing g1 cast - three car bots and four minibots. I can see poor Grapple and probably Hot Rod being the early casualties.

A third shelf is totally happening though if someone braves the more obscure stuff from Marvel UK comic range.

 

After looking at my shelves I realized I only have a Predaking out but between Combiner Wars and third party I have all the G1 combiners. I can not see any way to cram them into the display without it getting too busy and ugly. combiners are already very cluttered and busy looking on their own.
And there is still basically all of Earthrise for me to slot in somehow. At least Runamuck/about have plenty of space on the s3 shelf.

 

Thought it was time to combine this custom and have it with NA Megs. Its UT Siegfried with POTP limbs custom done by a board member. New joints to connect the limbs to the torso done by another board member.

Finally completed my Season 1 Autobot collection. I'm pretty happy with all the figures on display but it's always a work in progress. Now onto Season 2!!
