Just know that every 86 movie release includes a bitter tear from a Bay fan.

I feel you. However, I’m glad I fought my temptation on buying figures like TR Scourge and TR Galvatron. I’ll be able to procure figures of those characters that aren’t held back by any ridiculous gimmickry. It just makes me wonder: What does Hasbro do after this? I apologize if it seems like I’m trying to speak for anyone here, but are people going to actually get excited if Hasbro reveals another take on the G1 cast in 2022 after Kingdom and SS ‘86 conclude? Like, it feels like we’ve reached the actual limits of what HasTak can do in regards to making mainline figures that are G1 accurate.

I’ve wanted to get into the MP market for awhile. But the after market prices on the older figures and the cartoon accuracy of new ones have just turned me off from them. And, if MP-44 is any indication, it seems like HasTak is going to shove a bunch of accessories into each figure to reference something that happened in the background of season 2 episode 3 just to drive up the price. Like everyone else has said, there’s simply no point in shelling out several hundred dollars when I can practically get the exact same figure for much less.

Amazing. I don't even know where an MP would go from here.

I shouldn't be too surprised, but these new figures are friggin' killing it. I'm really looking forward to seeing Rodimus and Galvatron, since I believe their previous toys have not aged very well. I think this is one of the best years for updates on G1 characters, period.

I actually miss Alternators, at times. Im getting pretty done w all these G1 re-re-re-releases. Especially when we need a decent Cyclonus, and have yet to see the HM Jr.'s!

But Alternators had great car modes, even if the robot modes were a god-awful mess.

Screw it: just bring back Gobots. And put them in the SS line. :lol

I do agree, that is also true that snarl had very to almost no screen time in the movie. But if they miss out on Snarl,I bet there is going to be a uproar and I probably know that their is people who like to have a complete set of the Dinobots.I also wondering if there is going to be any other character they would add to Studio Series 86.

Well, i might have an idea. They could pull a line consisting of a mix of sorts, sorta akin to Universe 1.0, 2.0 and the Thrilling 30th take on generations. Introduce some new molds along with redecoes. The theme would basically be a homage to the original Universe 1.0.

actually all of my Titans return scourges are now officially Sweeps. they are smaller, good for Scourge, and slightly different too. With the superior mold being Scourge , so they still have a place in my collection.

I was thinking the same! :)  Saves $$$ cuz u dont need to buy 10x SS versions!

But Im also a fan of HMs, so when the prices bottom out there, I'll likely be one of the few buying, not selling! :lol

He looks like a decent enough figure...but I’ve never been a fan of Scourge. He always looked like some kind of greasy hoodlum asshole to me. Maybe that’s fitting...lol.

With accurate figures of Scourge, Cyclonus, Jazz and the Dinobots on the horizon, do you think it means we’ll finally get a gun mode Megatron?

As cool as that would be, personally I doubt it. There's a reason we haven't seen a retail gun Megatron since that dumb nerf gun one from classics. Especially with the current climate. It would be rather ballsy of Hasbro to do something like that or even reissue G1 Megatron as an exclusive.

It’s really not all that different from when the Masterpiece line started producing live action movie and Beat Wars figures. And we know that despite those additions, the line is still primarily dedicated to G1.

That's how I've tried to do things for the past several years; I did get the TR versions of a lot of characters who weren't HM's to begin with, but these new toys are easily blowing them away for me. Back then, I thought they couldn't get any better than what was offered, but I was so damn wrong, lol. And I agree with your statement about what may happen if we get new versions of the figures we're getting now. I'm sure they will still sell just fine, but it makes me wonder what gimmicks or ideas they may come up with.

Oh yeah, I really really wish Alternators would come back. I would love to see modern-day sports cars as new alt-modes for G1 characters.
