It definitely does. if most if not all WFC figures 5mm ports can be seen from the front, then what does that make Hot rod. Whose ports you can't see from the front at all. Not to mention the shared greebling aesthetic. Not to mention that his guns are also blast effect compatible, or are we just going to chalk that up to "he comes with a blast effect for it" despite his forearm pipes having some awfully similar pegs that look a lot like blast effect pegs that may very well end up as Rodimus prime blast effects. Not only this, but using Arcee as an example again, her bot mode is practically blast peg free. much like Hot rod's.

This right here is how you kill 3rd party. Not with lawsuits and law enforcement, but by making product this good. Siege had me contemplating selling a lot of my 3rd party. Not seriously, but I had thought about it. But damn if they can make stuff this good I may just do it.

 

Yup. Im going to guess they'll release that as part of a future line, netflix, exclusive, or a later wave of ss just expands to become a everything line. Its be a good mold, that im sure people wouldn't be upset to get more than once

 

That’s been my main drawback of going in on 3P lately. Hasbro’s been doing a damn fine job across their lines lately.

 

My God in Heaven this guy looks so Flipadelphia perfect. Better than the MP in a lot of ways. Crazy!

I carried it around so much - in bags, pockets, whatever - so it must have happened then? I don't know. The crack started in the middle of the windshield (vertically, if you're looking at the car dead on) and has gradually moved towards the pin. I've debated getting another and keeping the one I have in bot mode, but now this new one is coming....

I’m so excited! I think this could finally be the definitive Hot Rod figure for my collection. This can’t come out soon enough. I was a bit worried about the size because he’s a Voyager, but I like that he fits between a standard Deluxe and Siege/ER Voyager. The bonus accessories really make it worth while. He really is like a scaled down version of the MP mold. I wasn’t expecting the addition of his welding accessory and visor at all. I wonder if the holes in the pipes can fit the flame effects parts from Cyberverse Deluxe Hot Rod?

I just can’t believe how well they solved the engineering where all the previous attempts have stumbled. Just wonderful.

I agree with those who aren’t crazy about the yellow roof hinge pieces and knees — based on the transformation scheme, I can’t see any reason why they can’t be the right color. That said, it’s something that can be fixed with paint or in future releases, if it’s not already fixed by the time this is actually revealed.

They cracked the code for the design. That’s the headline. That’s what’s been missing for 35 years, and they finally did it. Every little quibble from here on out is minor and fixable.

 

Really? I had not heard. Only Galvatron and Earth Ultramagnus, but yeah, this and a new Rodimus prime I would love.

 

That's only going to become a bigger problem for you going forward, then. "Size classes" aren't about size anymore, they're about complexity and parts count. Don't be surprised if Hasbro starts referring to Deluxe, Voyager, etc. as "complexity classes" or some such in the near future.

 

It's almost as if fans have individuality with a variety of opinions.

Some say he's Commander class with extra parts and a detachable trailer for a big base mode. Not confirmed yet though.

 

I may detest the character, but this is a great looking piece.

 

Hmm, given what was accomplished with Earthrise Optimus, I don't see why their would be a need to go beyond Leader class.

But very excited for this Hot, he can replace my PotP Hot Rod. I wanted to like TR hotrod, but his robot mode was just so not what i was looking for...
