The great thing about the faux chest is that they won't have to do what Takara did with the chest of their Legends Hot Rod.

 

Well my Classics Hot Rod survived the coming of Headmaster Rod and PotP Rodimus, but he won't be able to repel the look of this Hot Rod. You've been a decent character stand-in but this guy looks brilliant.

 

It does appear though that the spoiler is the only piece that has to be yellow. If it was me, I would've molded that sprue in red and painted the spoiler. Red knees wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much as the yellow roof.

On a side note, I realize everyone is entitled to their opinion, and everyone has a right to change their minds, I'm just gonna point out that literally everyone was hating on the initial leaked blurred out image, and now all those same people are crying out❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks for the tip. I already have the Takara Legends Firebolt.
But if Hasbro releases a new Firebolt with a possible Targetmaster Hot Rod I hope they'll combine the strengths of the previous versions: articulated knees and an alt mode that properly tabs together.

 

Eh, Classics Rodimus was such a departure from the original Hot Rod design that a Sideburn repaint was more acceptable back then.

 

I am going to buy from toyhax again, just for the inevitable cover they make for it.

Hot dam, as a hot rod collector i can say that this is definitely the figure ive been waiting for in the main line since i was little. Transformation manages to replicate some of the weird arm twists he does. In the movie and everything. Im in love!
